Has anyone else had fitment issues with this kit? I've been grinding around the antenna support for a while and cannot get it to lay flat. I emailed them and they basically said I was too stupid to install it (take it to a body shop) even though I worked in the auto paint industry for a while.
If you did have this problem and got it to fit, did you just grind around the antenna support or am I missing something? Thanks.

Tell them that they are stupid for not answering ur question in professional manner. Expain them you have worked on the cars before and you are atleast smart enough to put the VG on by ur self.
Also this is the 1st time i heared seibon makes VG. Should have bought the one from these formus for real chap.

seibon does make the carbon one. I was gonna get it but it was to pricey and has fitment issues. Carbon products are hit or miss as it is but their VG's have issues. I bought the rexspeed one for $89 shipped and its perfect. You should just try to send it back since it has fitment issues. take pics and send them pics.
I have one. And in another thread we determined that it is designed for the MR's (and some RS's) aluminum roof which has a diferent ridge. Yes you'll have to grind the heck out of the atennae mas hole, but it will never lay flat on a steel roofed Lancer unless you can somehow reshape the ends. Someone said a soldering iron might work. Haven't tried it yet.

Whoops, posted this in the wrong section but no biggy (meant to post in the Evo Show and Shine).
This makes sense... after the grinding I did it felt like it went around the antenna support fine, but wasn't long enough... it stuck up in the front. I guess I'll fire those clowns another email. Maybe mentioning the fact that I worked in a body shop and I'm doing my master's in mechanical engineering... so I'm not that stupid (well, besides knowing what forum section I'm in
).

I'm in the middle of grinding the hell out of the antenna hole, had I known fitment would be like this I would have NEVER bought this POS, they make it to fit the MR and some Rs models, yet most of the models produced were GSR models.... I hate this thing.........
