Underbody Neons | Anything and Everything [ALL THREADS MERGED]
I just installed the Varad Scanning LED Underbody Lighting Kit!!! They are insane!!! It comes with 2- 48" bars for the sides and 2-24" bars for either end. The intire kit consists of about 144 high-powered LEDs. Not only is it the brightest kit available.....the entire kit does this:
1) Glows constant at 4 different brightnesses
2) Strobes
3) Chases around the car
4) Glows in and out
5) Flickers
6) Flicker then chase down
7) Scans
8) Beats to music in 4 different patterns
and much much more!!!
I got white and it is amazingly bright!!! Check out their site at www.varad.com
Please be warned that the prices on the site only reflect what the dealer will pay for them, not what you will get them for! Mine was a Christmas gift from my LOVING girlfriend and it ran her a little over $400 for the kit and that was with no shipping because she went to RI to pick them up! Installation took about 2 hours and the wiring is a snap! It comes with an internal control module that you can mount anywhere and displays the different functions as well as which one is currently beeing shown outside the car! Great investment and well worth every penny!!!

Street Glow is one of the best; Lifetime warrenty!!! You can also get Optix at your local pep-boys for around $99 they are made by Street Glow just don't have the warrenty. Thats what I got and they look pretty good, blue under a yellow car.
i agree with h8yourv8, streetglow has a very good reputation and has pretty good prices. Their gold series kit isnt that expensive...somewhere around $150 I think. It comes with a lifetime warranty and they have like 8 or 9 colors to choose from.
You can also check out ebay for streetglow neon kits and usually find them a little bit cheaper but still with warranty and color options

I have the HLS48 (the center one) and it is amazing!!! When my girlfriend bought mine, she was told that white is the rarest color and that the 2 most common are red and blue. I the day after new years to find out additional information about my kit before I installed it and they told me that I was lucky to get my hands on a white LED HLS48 series, because they were now on a 3 month waiting list for it!!! Some of the other colors were also on a list (pink and green I believe) but only for a few weeks! And another thing that you should know..... not all the colors from Varad are the same price for identical kits. The cheapest 2 are blue and red, while the most expensive are aqua, orange, then white (most expensive). I asked why and they told me that the LED bulbs on these few colors were much harder to purchase in large quantities, thus only allowing Varad to make a limited number of them a year.
