Veilside Lancer Wing (Pic)

I was just in the EVO8 Forums and saw that OZrallyguy is setting up a group buy for the Veilside Kit for the New EVO8.

Ya ya I know the front bumper and rear bumper won't fit our car.

But I encourage you all to go to Veilside.com and then products, continue, then click on Mitsubishi and then Ver 1 Model and scroll to the 3rd pick down. See that Veilside wing, it comes in Carbon Fiber and FRP. Expensive yes, but damn sexy!!!!

OZRALLY guy is going to measure the width of his rear deck across and then measure his bodies rear deck and compare the curves/slopes. If my hypothesis is correct, Mitsubishi used the same truck for the Lancer and the EVO, or at least the same size trunk.

If so it's just a matter of taking off your existing wing if your an OZ guy like me, or drilling holes if your an ES or (gulp) LS owner.

OZ guys just plug the holes or fill them and mount the Veilside wing on. Here's a pic in case your lazy like me:

Sexy isn't it.....

why?

If an ES, LS, OZ Lancer has a body kit on it it should look fine. Look at the RRE Lancer it has a rally style wing, or what about Rhys Millen? Same deal.

Personally I'm buying the Kenstyle body kit and going for that wing.

If anyone can photoshop this onto an OZ lancer or ES that'd be wicked. Don't even change the paint, just chop adjust, and clean it up.

Well, to me, it really looks tight!! Really looks Japanese! And i think it has a good purpose.. DOWN FORCE.. Japanese companies dont make stuff without a purpose, theres always a purpose...

It's not too big. And unlike those shopping cart aluminum wings that most civic owners buy at Pep boys, this thing creates real downforce.

Trust....paint it yellow to match my car and leave the carbon fiber black, add a Kenstyle bodykit and it'll look sick.

I guarentee you a tonne of EVO8's will have these on there cars soon.

veilside was one of the companies waiting to see how my japanese ken style sales went to cosider possible lancer kit. they didnt go well at all and veilside stated that it seems lancer vs. evo owners arent willing to spend the kind of money for a veilside kit that evo owners will. they still may make one in the future but maybe not. if the ken style kits ($1700 shipped) wouldve sold 10 or more they wouldve probably started prototyping immediately. it didnt and people are going for the "cheap" replicas of the ken style kits instead. veilside doesnt beleive that lancer owners see value in their quality for full kits. that is why. oh well, what can you do?
