Total time invested to the engine is probably around 12 hours, but it is so worth it. And yes its stock, bite me... j/p. ANyway, this 12 yr old car got a little tlc after all those years.

u guys think that'll get the undercoating thing off? it's the brown stuff they put on the underside of the car so it won't rust and stuff. but did a bad job of making my engine bay look dirty

I just use Simple Green and water in a spray bottle. Personally i am against spraying the eninge, so I dont use gunk. When I did it actaully made clean parts look dirsty and white, and i had to go over everything again. As for the undercoating, it shouldnt be a problem, just wash it off within 15-20 minutes and it'll be no problem.

What do you think about this method:

Spray engine degreaser all over (except battery and intake), then pressure wash the whole thing off.

I think the better question is "why didn't she clean the room?" That's what girls are for aren't they

If you are going to show off yer engine then I suggest after cleaning it then coat it w/ WD40. I kid you not it will look showroom clean. I thought it was kinda stupid when I was told of it but when I tried it it was bad ***. Ill try to take pics of before and after if any1 is interested. If no1 cares then I wont even bother.

Thanks
