What is with this "struggling college student" excuse? No one is saying get rid of the car or get a more expensive one. People are saying take off the rice-tastic features on there like the EVO wing and taillights.

I think the de-badge looks great. I did mine a while back and it looks a lot cleaner. But I replaced my mitsu logo with one from an 04' lancer. The 04' lacer emblem is a little bigger and I painted it flat black for a stealthy look.

To all you evo guys hating on him.....**** off, not everyone is as rich or spoiled as you are.

If your evo runs a 11.933, then yes I would say you are rich. At least compared to a college student with a lancer. I know most evo owners are cool but some of you have big heads.

 

To get this thread back on topic, here is what I did with my debadge. I was planning on taking off the oz badge too but I didnt feel like it at the time, and now I like it on there.

Well, last year I was a college kid with an EVO that ran 11.933. I definitely am not rich. Why are we talking about money and EVOs? This stemmed from the poster having people talk sh*t about his car. I dont see one EVO guy talking down to any Lancer people either. Some merely stated the opinion that the guys car looked ricey. Whys it always gonna turn into this?

 

OK so back on topic.... I like the trunk with the logo and the "LANCER" on it, but not with the trim badge. I just took the "LS" off of the corner, and it looks a lot better.

So, If I Remove the lights (Which I am going to do soon on my own choice) and leave the spoiler on (which I am going to do) I'll have something like a 50% tacky car right? Yeah... I don't have a LV interior/big metal wing/fart can exhaust/or anything like that and my car is tacky? Please continue Mr. Adult.

That comment alone was just ignorant. Lets see..."sub-par econo car". Ok...I could see where you are coming from if I was in a Yaris,Fit,Versa...(you understand right?) Something B-spec like that. Something that I truely would be wasting my money trying to find bolt-ons, putting in a few LCDs and the like. Something where I could give a crap if I wrecked it or tossed it 7 years down the road. But to say a Lancer is "sub-par" is really an ignorant comment sir. Like I said, come off of your high horse. For the year let me know what is "sub-par" on a Lancer compared to an 03+Corrolla/Sentra/Civic. As far as base models go Lancers don't have anything that make them less than the others. Humble yourself and think about your words.

Yes, a drop and rims would be nice. Lets see. I want some Enkie J10s wrapped with some Yokohama Prada spec-2s. The Enkies are $110 a piece and the tires are $100 so that comes to about $800. Let me just pop that out of my behind And a drop you say? Well springs on a Lancer are really not the way to go so the other only option is coil overs. What?! There only $800?! No problem?! I'll rub that out no problem!

Believe me sir I'm going to get all 3. I can't do everything at once. I've only had the car for 2 years. So humble yourself. And I'm not trading it in at the end. I'm keeping it. When I get out of college I'll be making enough where I don't have to trade in my car to buy another one. So why not make myself happy now with mods if I'm not going to have the car I want for another year or two?

Just because you have an Evo does not give you a license to be an *** buddy Go back to school and learn how to criticize constructively.

"Yeah, the debadge looks nice/the debadge doesn't look good. One thing you might want to do is get rid of those tail lights. Those remind me of (insert lame sarcastic comment here) The spoiler kinda doesn't fit either. Try a more low key one or your OEM one. That would give it a cleaner look. Other than that its cool"
