Mini-updates:
FedEx tried to deliver my parts from Works, but I was at work and apparently no one else was awake to answer the door.
I assume they'll be sitting on a truck until Monday now.
Snapped a few pictures of the actual goods:
Finally got my new plates for the Lancer

My "bling" rims

Big stack of rubber

If I ever get good pics, I'll look into hosting. Anything I take with that crappy point-n-shoot just gets attached the quick way.

i see you got your wheels and tires separate, mine came already put together but now i want to replace the tires, so who can do this for me?
and when you puttin yo bling on g?

Any tire shop can do it. Or the dealership, obviously. Yeah, I would have loved to have TireRack mount/balance them, but since my TPMS units needed to be installed, I'm going to have to have a local shop do the mount/balance.
Bling should be going on soon. Gotta put in the TPMS, slap the rubber on the aluminum, and get the balancing done. Should be soon.

Baaaaaaaaaad news - my box from Works came today. Only the springs . . . I really hope my swaybar and other goodies aren't lost at a FedEx warehouse somewhere...

Monday evening update:
1. Talked to Works. Swaybar box is . . . somewhere. It has a tracking number which says that the box was never shipped. Hoping to hear positive from them. Maybe it missed the truck or something.
2. TPMS are in, tires are mounted. 225s look mighty nice and wide. Just gotta slap them on and get them balanced.
Not much else of note...

Update again - talked to Works, and the swaybar box was definitely given to FedEx. They're going to contact FedEx and see if they can "find" my missing box whereever it might be. *sigh*
I really hate FedEx. I actually came close to specifically requesting a different shipper, but I stupidly said to myself "oh, it'll be fine, don't bother Works..."

I agree with you on Fedex. At my complex UPS will drop any package I get at the office, no matter the size, whether I need to sign for it, or if I am even home. They just dont want it sitting at my doorstep.
Fedex? They dont give a sh*t. They left my wheels sitting at my doorstep while I was on vacation, so I had to have a buddy go pick them up for me. 4 huge boxes with wheel dimensions and specs facing out for anyone to grab

*climbs on soapbox*
This is my 3rd import. After trying to make the first two faster, I've really learned that I/H/E mods do just about nothing. Car might sound different (especially if you get an exhaust leak, which I had lots of on my Lancer), but let's be honest here...
2002 Lancer (120chp) w/ intake, exhaust stuff ($1000 or so) - 93whp
2001 Subaru (165chp) w/ intake, exhaust stuff, pulley (probably same $) - 99whp
Why would I keep throwing money at slow cars when it doesn't make them any faster? All the money and work I put in the the 2002 Lancer still only got me 17.5-second runs at the drag strip.
If I ever modify the car for power, it's going to be an RRM turbo kit. But I don't have the cash for that, so I won't worry about it now. Maybe I'll have a fast Lancer in the future. But for now, it's just going to be comfy and handle well. That's fine for me.
^+1
The GTS is the fastest looking slow car ive ever seen... well not that slow... ok yes, it is slow.
hey Black, since you're not using the SRI - is it open for sale?
im thinking the price of that thing has depreciated hehe

Not for sale, no. You never know when you'll want/need to make a change. And as you said, the price has depreciated significantly, so it'd probably be worth my while to keep it. If I ever go to the drag strip, I might slap it back on so I get that high-RPM HP gain.

Mini-update:
Works swaybar #2 has arrived. Still no clue where #1 is. Probably for sale on eBay (call me a cynic).
RRM camber bolts ordered. Scheduled to arrive Wednesday.
Weather still sucks, so no progress has been made. Wheels are still sitting in the same spot they were 11 days ago (the last time I accomplished something). Actually, all my "to be installed" mods are where they were 11 days ago... LEDs and pulley haven't moved either...
Upcoming weather forecast isn't very promising, either.
So, current plans...
- Get wheels balanced, install them
- Do springs, swaybar and camber bolts on a nice day
- Install trunk & domelight LEDs on a nice day
- Take pulley to mechanic for install
- Continue waiting for Rally Innovations to come out with the skid guard
- Do the brake fluid . . . I have no clue when. Nice day when I have a lot of time and patience...
