Carbon Fiber Fuel Door

Just wondering if anyone on the forums here has one and how they look if they do. I found this http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=49&page=1
Just curious if the lancer fuel door and the Evo fuel door are the same. It looks like they should be, but better safe than sorry.

they're not. there's a bulge in the evo fuel door for the wider wheelbase of the evo.

Still though, Does anyone have any pics of their fuel doors or even just an opinion on them?

I've seen one installed and didn't like it, looked out of place on the car since it was basically a small piece of CF in a sea of paint.

Amby you wouldn't happen to remember where you saw it at would you? If not no big deal. Thanks for everyone's opinions.

Don't feel too bad man. I was seriously looking into them also. Here is a pic I just found on Cardomain of one with a carbon fiber door.
Although I think the fuel door is the least of this car's worries with the Erector Set Wing and the blue rims.

It looks a lil out of place but I guess if you have other carbon fiber stuff it blends in well

I don't use this word very often, but it seems kinda ricey to me. I mean the fuel door isn't the first place or even the fifth place I'd think of to loose weight from. It would probably go well on a grey or black car where it would blend in, and in that case what's the point unless it's a show car? Not to be rude but, I think the money would've been better spent on painting the back bumper to match the car. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would with the carbon trunk, but unpainted body pieces are inexcusable. Plus, if you where gonna go with the whole silver/carbon theme, you should have bought black taillights or the carbon fiber or Evo7 style. Anything but chrome. Geez, I do sound kind of rude. Sorry.

looks alright. i think they def look better on darker colors, like the blue car. However you can probably make it work with your style, here is a silver lancer that has a CF fuel door, and it flows well with the rest of the car:

I had the chrome depos with my old set up before the carbon fiber stuff so i don't want to spend an extra $100 plus for the same exact lights but just a different tone in color.

I have the bumper unpainted because i got it like 3 weeks ago and just working the kinks with fitment before being painted probably by the end of this month or March

Also, I purchased the gas lid in Nov. 'o7 (custom made) so the whole painting thing was out of the question since I didn't know that I was going for the bumper in Jan.

oh and no worries its your opinion can't say anything bad about what you think

I am actually surprised. I don't think that looks near as bad as what I was expecting. All in all I think it is not bad looking.
