New wheels?

 

I don't mean to sound like an azz but I just can't wrap my head around why someone that can afford to modify their Lancer so extensively with looks and performance doesn't just buy an Evo. Don't get me wrong because I think your car looks kickass. You've done very tasteful mods and I'm sure you'll do more. good luck with everything.

 

i bought my car last april when it first came out and my body kit and everything was done before the evo was out. plus with sponsorships and a friend who owns a body shop, things didnt cost me as much as they would if i didnt know anyone or have no sponsors.

i love it i wish mine looked something like that. Still not a big fan of the hood but it looks really good with your car.

 

yeah i talked to my mitsi dealership today and they have the front and rear evo X bumpers availble for purchase he also went on to say that its an exact fitment on the GTS he has installed it before. he gave me a quote for about 1200 front and rear bumper painted he said there are no side skirts avalible because the evo x side skirts arent actually skirts its molded as a part of the car

im gonna order everything next month and ill have pics up then

 

isnt the X wider than the GTS? actually its longer and wider by atleast 1-2 inches...

 

that would make sense with the side skirts..

but he said that the front bumper is wider yes..but it still bolts into the same holes..and fits along the headlights and everything

same with the rear..all bolt into the same holes

 

well if thats the case, then the X without the aero package has the same dimensions?

 

no, because the EvoX fenders are wider than a Lancer's fenders. So the EvoX is still wider than a Lancer with or without the aero kit.

 

thats what im sayin... im sure it applies to the width of both bumpers also... it wouldnt make sense if the base lancer has the same dimensions with the X. There would be Lancers buying OEM X parts like theres no tomorrow...

 

well it is happening like i said you cant take the sides he said just the front and rear bumper

i dont think it applies to the bumpers..plus he said they just recently (within the last couple weeks) had avalible the front and rear bumpers avalible to buy

he said the fenders are also avalible but i just want the front and rear..im going by next tuesday to get exact costs and things in paper so i can start organizing

ill prob just order some skirts from Extrm D

i don tthink anyone is trying to be an evo this is my daily car..for speed on the weekend i drive the supra

i just love the look of the evo looks so more aggressive
