Oh boy! You my friend, are going to be drilling into your oil pan! That has to be the most scariest thing in the world because there is always that thought in the back of your mind, if you F up you have a big hole in your oil pan.

The tap is the thing that you're gonna use to make threads for the barb part for your oil return in your oil pan. It basicially makes threads in something so you can screw something else in.

 

I'm preparing for that too... I just need to do that, get my oil/coolant lines, and a fmu or injectors or whatever...

 

Did you still want the evo7 front bumper? I have it and want to go back to stock. Interested in a trade?

 

luckily when i bought my turbo kit the guy gave me his oilpan pre plumbed! i can go back to stock any day...just unbolt and bolt back on stock parts. And OZ Rally sorry im still working it out with money right now i see that new DOHC conversion that i kinda want to do. And goodluck with your build

 

ahhh so im up in the air about selling my car
im trying to sell it for an 02-05 Civic Si(EP3) but the parents arent having it because the car is stick and they cant drive it therefor since our driveway is small and straight if they had to move my car to get their cars out they cant because they cant drive stick -_-
anyway well see whats up no new mods planned.. kinda depressing i cant get a stick car until i move out

 

whats funny about that is that im in the same situation.... i was going to get a 5 speed sr20 swapped 240 but mom couldn't drive stick and i got a lancer. I always wanted a lancer but come on. Damn i wanted that 240

 

Dang!! The first time i got a car i decided for my car to be a standard. Even though than my mom was like what if i need to drive it sometimes lol i was like nope noones driving my car and like i had exhaust and all that goodies on it. Being asian my parents don't like that kind've junk hahaha, but im older now so noone cares. I remember when i had headers and my dad was like your car sounds fast but its not going anywhere....he was all confused.

 

Mine is the same way and told me to turbo it

 

lol i'm turbo now, but i don't race it or anything...just a cruiser. Its not that fast anyways lol i just like the fact that its turbo i need a good tune though, but my girl just got a DC5 and i'd rather chunk out the cash to do a hondata/kpro flash for her car. i would see better gains. And SlvrOz117 i say just don't do too many mods on your lancer and just keep it as a DD and grab that ep3. More aftermarket and dependable on mods.

 

damn haha i am in the exact situation... haha i didnt know there were as many people in it as i am. my parents cant drive stick so when it came down to a civic si with goodies or the lancer i had to go with the lancer

 

yeah its so frustrating because my mom is against me modding the lancer too.. so i cant get an SI and now shes saying i cant mod my lancer anymore

haha.... i kinda want to sell my car too and get another one but my mom won't let me cuz she says there's nothing wrong with the lancer lol...... modding it is kinda a waste cuz there is really not much aftermarket for it like there is for hondas and such...

 

i know but i just feel the urge to mod
even though theres only like 1 or 2 more things i want to do to the lancer
but modding is so addicting
and i mean i found an 02 Civic Si hatchback for about $8,000 with 24k miles
maybe its just me but that seems like an amazing deal
and its at my local honda dealership im gunna go check it out today
i might be able to talk my dad into agreeing
