hood holder

Hi, I don't know if this thread will fit on show and shine but I have a question about the steel stick that holds the hood open.

I don't know but somehow, my steel stick holder is not in a good condition.

Did anybody change their hood holder to the air-powered, automatic (I don't know what it's called) hood holder..? When it opens, it makes little bit of "pssh" sound and keeps the hood open.

or if nobody tried it, does anyone know the name of it? so i can find it online like universal and change it.

Thanks, If it doesn't belong here, please let me know.

you could also always pick up a replacement prop rod from a junkyard and pay maybe ten bucks.
