so, does your brake light still work? did you have to get an extenstion?

 

brake light works fine its fed through the left side of the wing the wired through thats how it is set up stock so no wiring needed to be done

im pretty sure hes one of those "oooh i have a Evo and you dont" kind of people that just needs to get his head out his *** and realize not all of us can afford to buy an evo. But hey we make our "lancers" look good anyway we can

nah, i'm not an "oooh i have an EVO and you don't" guy. I'm a "the best way to make a lancer look good is to trade it in for a honda civic, acura integra, acura RSX, or just not buy one in the first place." i just don't like lancers. i think they are crap. for the money, i'd much rather have a honda. if you have enough money for an EVO, get an EVO. if you don't, look into another brand other than mitsubishi, because everything mitsu makes is terrible other than the EVO.

 

Wow why come into a forum for people with lancers and talk ****? most people are here because they like there cars.This place happens to be a good source of information I guess there just happens be a lot negativity here from evo owners, sad but common.Every one has a right to there opinion and I like my car in fact I have never really had a problem with my lancer at all, and it serves its purpose fine whats the problem with me enjoying it on a forum with other people that enjoy them?

Seriously though, to the original poster, props on the wing. Did you take ES 02's advice and fill the holes in the trunk/wing?

 

i don't mean any disrespect, it's just that i honestly can not understand why anybody would willingly buy a lancer, or any other mitsubishi product other than the EVO. mitsubishi is a terrible company, with terrible service, and they make crappy cars. the EVO is just ridiculously fun to drive, but if you actually take a look at it, that car would probably be a lot better if somebody else made it. my brother made the mistake of buying an 05 lancer ralliart. he's regretted it ever since.

at the time i dunno what he was thinking. the car is ugly, it handles like a small boat, gas mileage sucks, it's not especially quick...there's no good reason to buy the car. that car was an afterthought built to plug a hole in mitsubishi's lineup. you can tell that from the moment you get inside one and see all the crappy construction, and low rent materials. on top of that, his bone stock motor blew up at 30k miles while he was just cruising at 35mph.

mitsubishi gave him 10 kinds of hell to get it covered under warranty. the people at the dealership were horrible to deal with, trying to blame him for the car blowing itself up. they had this attitude as though we should be thanking them for taking the time out of their precious schedules to service his car. we finally got it all taken care of, but the car itself is just crap. all kinds of mystery noises, rattles, etc. the EVO has that too, but the EVO's performance makes you forgive the little things like that. those things in the regular lancer just make you hate it more. and don't even get me started on how fast these things lose their value. you might as well just burn your money. he realized that before he started modding the thing all up, and is just driving it until he finishes school, then he will get a real car.

he finally realized that he should have just bought an 06 civic Si, or a used RSX-S instead. he would have been 100x happier, he'd have a car that looks 100x better, with a better interior, better service, faster around a corner, and in a str8 line, and would get more of his money back when it's time to sell or trade it.

I think that wing looks pretty good, but the pain of filling those holes sounds like a hassle, gotta choose the lesser of 2 evils i guess
