i've got all sorts of hazing and cracking... no fading or yellowing. i'd rather yellowing than cracking and hazing though... might not even be that noticable on my yellow car, heh.

Here's a decent DIY, might save you from wet sanding:

I'M NOT ALONE!!! I'm going to try buffing out the scratches soon. It looks like Gregory Hines did the Ethiopian Shim Sham on my hood. I also have a nice crack in the front of the hood.

His biggest trick is using a orbital. If I simply hand wax the hood it diminishes the hazing a lot. If you look at last pic you can still see it is discolored. It will come back shortly.

Im not saying that did not do a great job at fixing the issue short term but to truly "fix" the problem the gel coat needs to be sanded and fixed.

My cousin had the same problem on his civic. He wet sanded it down, then buffed it, and finally wax it. Its pretty simple.

I haven't tried it because, alas, I don't have CF so I have to live through others that do

Although I want to change the design on my hood, because the way the black goes up the middle i want it to be wider and go all the way to the end. Or I might just sand it ALL off and leave the CF showing
