Wow this thread actually caught my eye cause my Lancer ES's the same colour even tho it's 05 (not much difference at all I dont think). I like what you did with the headlights eh. Know what? You could even consider getting a spoiler and maybe them DEPO taillights, those things look nice. And yeahhh do paint the dash trim piece...I hated the wood grain look so much that it was one of the first things I had to get rid of haha. Keep up the good work!

as a matter of fact I did, they came out to like 80 bucks with shipping, I had looked at a few junkyards to get the OEM fogs w/harness but those @#%$^%* wanted 100 bucks per light!

I was pretty much fuming on that so I searched eBay and found those...not the greatest, but I think they look good, they look OEM and I installed all the wiring taking care to hide it and even the switch looks decent and almost passable as OEM.

On a side note...
So, income tax check got deposited, next week I'm ordering my Megan Racing coilovers, progress rear anti-sway bar, and my Acura TL Bi-Xenon projector retrofit kit...

I've already got one OEM ralliart headlamp on the way, it'll be here Tuesday, so when I get my retrofit kit I'll post picture progress and then I'll get the passenger side lamp, post pics and when I get them installed they should be pretty slick...

I'm getting OEM Mitsubishi Ballasts and Phillips D2S bulbs with my retrofit kit so I'll have a truly OEM style retrofit, complete with 4300/4250k HID bulbs...clear projector lenses and what I think are some pretty slick looking aftermarket shrouds...

can't wait...oh yeah, the drop on Megan's should be nice too and my new sway bar...ooh, ohh...lol...

I just spent about 2200 bucks this week, here's what I've got coming in the mail:

Projector retrofit kit
-Acura TL Bi-Xenon Projectors with clear lens upgrade
-OEM Mitsubishi Ballasts (brand new)
-Philips 85122+ D2S bulbs
-Gatling Gun shrouds (they have little slits in them that allow a little bit of light to escape giving the projector a sort of high tech glow, not like Halos though)

Practice Light
-Drivers side Ralliart headlight probably sacraficed for practice

OEM Ralliart Headlights
-1 Pair slightly used Ralliart OEM headlights for the final product

Progress Rear Anti-Sway Bar

Megan Coilovers (springs/dampner) with 32 levels of adjustment and ride height

K&N Typhoon Short Ram Air Intake in polished stainless steel

5 yards of high quality black suede fabric for upolstery
-For headliner
-For rear dash
-For doors
-For center console armrest

Hopefully when I visit the junkyard this weekend I can find some black interior pieces for my car, it's going black, and it will never come back...if not I guess I'll be painting them, buying some black racing bucket seats, or if I can afford it using next years taxes, the MR leather/suede recaros...I've seen those recently on an ebay auction about 1000 for front and rear...god that would be sweet!!!

let me know what ya'll think, they'll be pictures when I get it all, pictures showing progress, and pictures when it's done, I might even start a "how-to" thread on projector retrofit, headliner reupolstering and anything else I do that someone else might find helpful...

yes, you are correct, a ralliart kit would be lovely, but they are sometimes rare/hard to find, and when you do find them, they are like Evo recaro seats, OVERLY PRICED!!! I saw some on eBay, unpainted, just the front lip, 300 bucks...I watch the for sale section every now and again and unless I'm blind or have real bad luck looking, I never find a ralliart dude/tte that wishes to part with his/her lips...I'm going to the junkyard this weekend, I'll see if they have any and what they run, best case scenario is I can rip them off an RA that's already my same color, no painting, just installation...who knows, little by little though!

Update alert!!!

Okay, so yesterday I received my Megan Coilovers...I'm pretty stoked, but I want to do most of the work myself, so I'm reading up on coilover suspensions and how to tweak them etc., installation is pretty simple as they just replace the stock so you unbolt, and effectively, rebolt...

Setting them up is what takes time, so here's what I've got so far and I really would like some feedback on this because I'm not installing them until I feel I've got the concepts down fully, for that, some research and feedback from those of you that have them would be necessary...

Oh, once I've installed them it will go into a shop for alignment and load balancing/weight balancing, but I want to do the bulk of the labor myself to cut down on costs and to learn about it mainly...anyway, here's a pic of my set up...

I've got the spring perch labeled A, the spring perch locking ring labeled B, the lower mount locking ring is labeled C, and finally the lower mount is D...

From what Ive read, I'm to loosen B from A then loosen A from the spring until it is loose, then tighten A ever so slightly until the spring is no longer loose...this will prevent preloading the spring, then I tighten B to A and leave those alone for ever and ever (unless I need to adjust preload on the springs for whatever reason)...am I right so far?

Next up, to lower/raise the car I need to release C from D then turn D clockwise or counter-clockwise respectively, then tighten C onto D locking the ride height in...is that correct?

Next once the coilover is on the car, to lower/raise I will need to unlock C from D again, then turn A clockwise (which will turn the whole shock body since it's locked onto it by B) to lower the vehicle, or turn B counter-clockwise (which will turn the whole shock body since it's locked onto it by A) then lock C onto D when the adjustments are made...

This makes sense since turning the ring opposite the direction I want to go will turn the entire shock body screwing it into or out of the lower mount without having to unbolt the lower mount and not screwing up the preload on the spring...

If I have any part of this wrong, please correct me, and or suggest articles/posts I should read, and if ambystom is still active around here that foo needs to pipe in some knowledge, I've read his post a million times (this made me wait to purchase coilovers versus coil springs w/sleeves) and I'd appreciate anything he says as well as anyone else knowledgeable on the subject...

Here's some more eye candy pics to drool over, again, sorry for the crappy quality, my 10mp Cyber-Shot took a crap so my 5mp Nokia phone will have to do...

Oh, I also received my K&N SRI so I'll install that tonight and take pics for a "how-to" (not that it's a difficult install, but maybe someone will benefit from it)

I'm looking forward to hearing from yooz smarteez, brainiacs peeplz!!!
