heh, you should see them when they're on...from a distance any car coming at me gets a little blue/purple flicker as I'm bouncing along on my Megans then they turn bright white then they don't see me anymore...lol...and I rewired the turn signals so they come on with the parking lights so it really looks like a different car!

anyways, I'll try to get more pics up soon, I have to wait for the weekend so I can take my lights off and hit the seals with silicone so they don't get moisture inside anymore...

trust me, find a part you want/need, then check Ebay, a lot of their stuff is crap cause of taiwanese/chinese imports and crap taking over, but there are still a lot of trustworthy sellers selling quality stuff if you know how to look

everything I have, almost, I bought on Ebay, they're even selling the rear anti-sway bar for less than RRM (but no mounting hardware, so not sure if it's really a savings there)...

I buy from RRM, but in a recession, sorry guys, gotta find the cheaper price...oh, I installed my SRI and the instructions with it were superb, no wonder no one's made a how-to, there's no need...my projector kit comes in today, my anti-sway bar comes in today, and I got my suede fabric yesterday...

too bad I'm spending this weekend away from my car (I'd be up all weekend), but I'm hoping to find a good deal on interior pieces (EVO seats anyone?!?!?) at the junkyard tomorrow...*crosses fingers*

catch ya later with some pics
First off i gotta say that your car looks awesome!!! Second and sorry for hi-jacking your thread but if anyone is looking for megan coilovers. Talk to speed corps. Their price is $840 shipped!!!!

here's a pic from down low:

and a pic from further away:
click for the full size and notice the slight purple in the left light (right in picture)

I'll try to get some nice cutoff pics and high beam pics tonight, if it's not all foggy and rainy like the last few days.

ya think? lol, the only option for our year is the JDM (yeah, okay) style honeycomb grill...I don't much care for the shape of the grill at all really, and would much rather wait and save money for the RRM evoIX kit, I really like the shape/look of the front bumper and it's got an AMAZING open grill (I really liked the VIII/IX grills) that I think will just look insane on the car...problem is I might need to raise the car with that kit, not too much I hope, but enough that I'm not scrubbing the wheel well plastics on my front and that I'm not tearing up the bumper with all the rocks and crap where I live...

I guess the other option is to go RA with a lip kit and then take a dremel and some fiberglass and customize my own bumper to look like the evo...that would essentially remove the last bit of Mitsubishi logo on my car...I'd actually kind of like that...my car would be completely badgeless and I'm sure no one else has done it quite like that...

who knows, for now I'm kind of done with the money spending...oh well...we'll wait until I get some more cash and see what happens...

here's the cutoff pics!!!

here's some more pics to feast your eyes upon...

pictures of my cut off and my high beam at night...trust me, up against the garage doors and what not it is absolutely NO indication whatsoever of how bright these things really are...let's put it this way, if I left my high beams on, people would run off the side of the road...but the good thing is in the TL the cut off is so nice that even on my low beams, I can see DAMN NEAR ANYTHING! the beam is wide, and bright, it projects far, and it illuminates nicely. I live in rural country so I use my high beams a lot, but if I lived in town...shoot, never have to switch them on.

but anyways, look at the pics, cause they are nice, you can barely make out the color around my cut off, but when I had my friend drive past me to test the height of aiming and all there's a really exotic color flicker in it like those high end mercs, bmws, porches and Lamborghinis, you'd never know the car coming at you was a measly lancer...lol...so, on to the pics!

the garage is on an upward slope, so if the lights look really low it's because of that slope, they are actually aimed using DOT spec of .04 degrees (2.1" drop over 25ft) and since my car is low they come up to about license plate height on most cars when I get behind them...really though they are absolutely awesome, my car bouncing along flashes blue/purple on road signs and it just looks incredible, I love them, they were worth every penny and every drop of blood, sweat or tear that I put into retrofitting them...should you have ANY interest in doing your own retrofit, do ask me about it, there were a few problems along the way...definitely do your own research, AND ABOVE ALL CONTACT THERETROFITSOURCE.COM, MATT THERE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY HELPFUL, I could not have done it without his guidance and help...really though, I'm so impressed with them I'm actually going to put their decal on my stickerless car, that's how awesome they are!!!

Matt, if you read this, I just wanted to say thanks again for everything, I will come back to you guys if I ever need anything to do with retrofitting, or if I need bulbs, ballasts, etc.

UPDATE: This weekend I will be working on reupholstering my headliner in black suede, painting the visors, oh "schnap" handles, dome light housing, rear deck in black suede, speaker covers, third break light, and if I can get to it, the door inserts, window controls and inner door handles...it'll be a lot of work, playing with glue, paint, and other crap, but in the end, I believe the end result will be remarkable, then all I need to do is save for MR leather/suede recaros (they've been going on ebay for about a grand...) and I think my interior will be finished...

then it'll be back to the exterior, save for lips (I need a new front bumper and fender...lol, deer accident, but you can barely tell) and spoiler, tail tint, carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber eyelids (it'll help to shield my retrofit work from prying eyes, lol), and...perhaps at some point down the road, a new paint job and nicer rims (I've always liked the look of the BBS-RGT rims like the porche has, or a thick 5-spoke)...

maybe after all that, if I haven't run the car into the ground, or destroyed my auto tranny, I might consider a turbo to finish the motor off...then get an evo...! lol

they're TL projectors...they're already color-modded, all you need to do is add ZKW (bimmer) clear lenses...which I did.

I know you can't really tell (because of poor quality pics), but they have a great blue/purple hue at the cut off, you need to see it in person to really get a feel for it, they aren't like FX projectors or E55's where you need to modify the cut off shield to make it more colorful, these are they same type of shield as those in higher end luxury cars because the company that makes the TL projectors also does BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Volkswagen/Audi and Aston Martin. If I remember correctly, Ferrari's use a similar shield, but a different manufacturer.

Anyway, that's a mighty nice color modded projector OhFour, are those yours? I'm going to get a pair of Phillips 6000k bulbs, they should make the car stand out a bit more...I kind of want the Audi R8 look (really bright white with bluish hue, I think it was rolling 8000k in Ironman though), but without losing too many visible lumens. Anyway, I can't believe no one else is posting, it's like everyone abandoned the post when the interesting stuff happened...lol...whatever, I love my car now, I don't really need anyone else to tell me how sexy she is...I just have to look at her!

thanks...yeah, I guess I could've done the washer mod too, don't know necessarily if it would've worked the same way though, TSX having a non-moving cutoff shield and the Bi-Xenon TL being moved by the solenoid...I don't know, looks good as is really, if I put my hand on the cutoff like your pic, it might look about the same, I think yours has a thicker belt of blue/purple, but mine is a close second with a sharper, thinner belt...looks good though! what happened to the black lancer? what were you running for hi beams?

you had halo's...how'd you do that? you modded your stock lights or did you buy some projectors off ebay and replace the projector in there? i thought of buying a set of those depo projectors and converting the high beam reflector into a second projector for bi-xenon, i'd have a running light projector (used like DRL), and my bi-xenon projector, lol, dual projectors on a lancer!!! true bimmer style...lol

anyway, sorry to hear about the black lancer...it's too bad really...anyway, got to get back to work!

you have more pics of your old lancer? i'm curious to see your retrofit up close...you pulled your projectors out of the wrecked car to use on your new lancer right?
