i haven't a doubt that my son will be the next mitsu owner of his generation. fa sho! and seriously its easiler to get a kid on that mind set than you think. for me.. what i did was i went off and got him a toy evo (bigger than the hotwheel size, but not like a 1/18th or anything) and when i gave it to him i said evo. and when i play with him i'd be like shawn (son's name, obviously) look mommy's got your toy evo. i would hand it to him and take it away while saying evo. so now i can say shawn go get your evo and he will, or mommy's gunna get your evo and he'll run and grab it before i can. when he's in my room he points to my shelf full of evos and says evo. and i love it! warms my heart!

i'll probably buy my son a mitsu for his first car but any mods or work will be his doing. idk just how i'm raised i guess. my parents helped me with my very first car.

an when the time comes he will understand to go faster he has to do everythin himself to make his mitsu go faster haha. they better not retire the lancer or evo before then or ill be pissed haha. u kno how some car companies like stop production of cars to bring in new cars. that sorta deal

yea its all how ur brought up. like im on my third car (one got totaled...not my fault!, one i sold n this is my third) n ive had 2 pay for all of them out of pocket along with all them mods ive done 2 them. i think its just taught me 2 have pride for what you have cuz u bought it. not sayin that if my parents would of helped my with my first car i wouldnt've accepted the offer cuz i def would of im just sayin by payin for it on my own thats whats its taught me. especially seeing all these kids i went 2 highschool with get brand new BMW's n Mercedes n Mustangs n stuff that mommy n daddy pay for. i see them drive them 2 school, beat the **** out of them, never wash them, n have everything paid for when it breaks n al their mods n stuff paid for. n its like they dot even appreciate it, their always like my car is faster n im just like well my car will get there but i dont have mom and dad throwing money at me 2 do mods.

sry im ranting but luigi n i r very passionate about this arguement cuz weve both been thru the same stuff. aint that right ol buddy ol pal!? hahahaha

hell's mo fuq'n yea hahaha
im sure everyone here understands but the only bad thing was
when i drove my car everyone had the impression my rents were payin for it an all this crap im like naw thats all outta my pocket anythin goes wrong (KNOCK ON WOOD!) it comes outta my pocket to pay for it, gas, mods, insurace, you name it i gotta pay it. sure my rents would help me but ive refused money from them bc its my car an not there responsibilty. i think like 3 times outta the year ive owned my car i had to barrow money from my parents bc i was short. but whats a kid with an income of 400 a month to do when he is payin 450.00 a month to just keep his car. ya know? but the hell wiht those kids, **** most of them have crashed or destroyed the crap outta mommy an daddys car. andy in a month we can go back an destroy them with our turbo 4 bangers DONT CALL US RICE BURNERS FOR NOTHING haha jk jk but now that we have better income we can do the mods we wish we had back then aint that the truth andy

= for life!

L.Lancer1- if they stop the lancer line by the time my kid is old enough to drive, mitsu is going to have a very pissy korean screaming at them! haha. i'll still find him one no matter what it took, but it won't be pretty.

ajpavlovich- i know what you mean with kids nowadays using mommy and daddy's money like its okay. drives be crazy, BUT then i remember that now matter what that kid does he'll NEVER understand or know his car like you and i would.

i plan on buying my kid his first ar that way i ensure its a mitsu and not something else. but mods and anything else is out of his pocket.

once he's even old enough to have his drivers permit i going to make his start autoXing (although i'll have to co-drive with him) til he gets old enough where he has his drivers license. if he wants to stop autoXing come that time than thats his decision, but prior to that he won't have a choice because in my opinion autoX helps you really learn how to handle your car. anybody can go in a straight line, but not everyone knows what to do when there car starts fish tailing or swaying too much. i'm twice the better drive thanks to autoX. that'll be the only other thing he won't have to pay for, just because i'll be making him!

i wanna be that cool mom that is out teaching her kid how to race smart. take him to the track and teach him good launching rpm's, and how to handle his car in autoX. i wanna be that mom that is out racing with her son in her own sick car!!

OZRally- sorry to have highjacked your thread... how goes the wheels? did you decide if you were gunna change them this weekend or not?
