OZ Rally's Build Thread

This is what my car looked like when I first bought it. Paint was chipped, mesh was pink, body kit still is chipped and has some spider cracks, rims were badly rusted, had pink body lights, and interior was stained. Overall the car was in bad shape but I got a really good deal for it.

It's turned around. But it's still a work in progress

First thing I did was clean the stains on the seats and carpets. I couldn't take it all off but it's better than what it was before.

My first big project was restoring the rims and painted them graphite.

Before

Primer

Painted

Cleat Coat and letting it air dry

Finished and mounted

They turned out awesome. It's just missing the center wheel cap (oh well)

that whole index card business is actually a really good idea!

on my old scooby i spent about forever taping the tires off with newspaper and magic blue tape. never thought to use cards like that! looks good!

Yea I didn't want to waste about $10 for tape so I took my sister's index cards. lol

I've only had the car for 2 months but I don't feel that much wear on them. But I am going to say that the traction isn't good at all. I need a new set before winter or I'm screwed!

Well I bought the car used and the tires had a little wear on them. Plus did I mention I bought it from a girl? Let's just say she didn't maintain this car at all.
