painted calipers and drums

ok i have been toying with the idea of painting my calipers and drumbs or just calipers but i can decied if this is a wee bit 2 ricey i have a real clean look to my car and im wondering if it willtake awy from it so i have started this pole, I dont have the cash for the rmr break kit so who ever was gonna say just buy that dont unless you wanna pay half

yup

i painted just my front calipers with a kragen paint.. it was a red anodizing paint.. the color didnt come out that bright.. it was like a dark reddish color... doesnt attract too much attention but if u looked at my rim closely u could see that the calipers are painted red.. looks decent... plannin on repainting though =D

yea u should jus paint ur front calipers...dont think it would look good if u painted the drums too...im planning on painting my calipers soon too

just remember to buy CALIPER PAINT and dont go cheap and buy SPRAY paint =D

paint the front calipers for sure....but i dunno about teh drums man.....the way i picture it comes out to looks kinda tacky? however i dont know

hmmm

hey ancer06, ur local to me... i've already painted my calipers so u can meet up with me sometime and swap ideas and u can check my calipers out... im also plannin on repainting them with a dif type color.. cause mines a bit too dark.. if so we can go half on the paint... =D or if u like the color i have u have the rest of my paint ... its a 5 dollar can and comes with plenty

can anybody who's done it list some paint names and manufacturers? and the difference in quality between the spray paint and the lacquer type kit that you paint on ?

haha okay sure why dont u guys alll come down to my work place and we'll paint our calipers lol...

and to shonu... the one i used so far is just from kragen.. forgot the brand..im not at home im at work. but its red anodizing paint.. used for valve covers and calipers and other things too

hey thanks for all the good info i bought the paint a while back its in my tool box its like vgt caliper paint or somthing it looked good to me i just ordered sloted disks today so i will make my decion then
