HVAC/Stereo Trim
HVAC/Stereo Trim
I Figured this would be better suited in the US lancer forums since not many evo people are buying em. Im looking for the part number for the part that surrounds the HVAC and the Stereo in the evo 8. The brushed aluminum peice. I want to replace the stock OZ one. The part # i got from my local dealership is
MB652465
when i looked it up on mitsubishiparts.net, it doesnt give much detail, and the guy at the dealership said, that the computer said it was black.
and i did a search and couldnt find jack. thanx

I just called my local dealership to order this. I gave them first the part number above and they said that was for a Mitsubishi Expo. Probably not quite right.
Anyway, they searched and came up with this part number: MN151264HA
MitsubishiParts.net calls this part "Panel+heater Cont" - about as descriptive as the other one. Anyway, come Tuesday, they'll have the part in and I'll know for sure and can post the exact part number for this for sure.

This isn't for the Evo piece, but Cerious Performance is coming out with that piece in full carbon fiber in a few weeks. It will be perfect fit becase the mold was made from a stock piece out of a Lancer.
So anyway, it cost me $25.87 (no tax) and I can confirm that it is the right piece. MN151264HA.
However, it doesn't come with the round decals for each of the dials. The parts manager was surprised when I pointed it out as apparently, they usually come with it. Anyway, he looked up the diagrams again and saw they were separate part numbers, one for each decal. He said they'll be in in a few days and I get the impression he wasn't gonna charge me for them. Anyway, I'll post the part numbers for them once I get them.

If you don't want to wait for me to get them (a few days or so), then you can probably ask them. When I asked, he brought out an exploded view of the dash assembly and it had the part numbers for everything labelled right on the sheet. I just didn't have a piece of paper handy to write down those part numbers at the time.

can't you just use the original round dials from the regular lancer trim? ex. switching the plain black for the smooth silver evo trim, then putting on the original dials.
?
For me its gonna be either that or trying to paint it,
It's not the dials I'm talking about. The dials "point" to the decals, to label each position, temperature, etc. Those labels aren't there - they are round decals that stick to the trim piece.
As for JDM ones, I don't really care where they're from. The ones that come with them here are more than adequate.
