Im not the greatest when it comes to putting together something that sounds professional without putting my true feelings into it, or else Id start a petition online.

the fact is if somebody went through and started a petition I would do everything to get the word out on all of the forums.

Vivroy.
That is the only reason is repainting and clearcoating my car at their cost. I get to take the car to an autobody shop of my choice and pays the bill. I payed $1200 for the protection package when I bought the car and it said that they were to apply a clear coat sealer to better protect the paint. I took it to 2 body shops and they peeled some paint up and said there was no clear coat so lied to me. Long story short they are paying for my car to be painted with 2-3 coats of clear coat also. A 6 month old car shouldn't chip like that.I can count the rock chips on my 85 ram with 450,000kms on it on both my hands. I have a hood deflector and Rally Armour mudflaps. What else should I have to do to protect the paint? Wrap my whole car in bubble wrap? You shouldn't have to spend an extra $1000 to 3M your brand new car that you just spent $30K on. should stand by their product and fix everybody else's crap paint as well.

^ wow lucky you...I really shouldn't be saying lucky you because these problems should of never happened in the first place, but regardless atleast you can take it where you want.

More than likely I'll be taking my car next year to a friends body shop to get it repainted, because If I dont this car is gonna have some major rust issues down the road.

The only reason I get to take it anywhere I want is cause my local doesn't do body work or painting.

Not many dealerships do actual paint or body work in house anymore. Most have a specific body shop near their location that they use.

UPDATE>

The paint is just getting worse.
The Rally Armor mud flaps have helped a very very small amount, the only thing I noticed was that dirt and grim didn't accumulate as much in front of the rear door, and where i wanted it to help it didn't. The paint looks absolutely hideous now. The funny thing is... it hasn't snowed since i put the mud flaps on. Ill post pics after i wash it again. It looks like a stripe of white paint on the door jam. I am so angry right now I could blow up!!! I drive 2.5 miles to work every day on a paved road!!! this should not be happening. I'm going to try a meeting with a rep next week. I'm not the kind of person to complain and ***** up a storm about **** but im willing to about this. The Mitsubishi staff is gonna know me on a first name basis until they fix this ****.

Anyone else that is having the same problem CALL, WRITE OR GO TO YOUR DEALER!!!!! its the only way they are going to address the issue!! Subaru had the same issue and they stood behind there cars and fixed the problem!! Mitsubishi should do the same!

Dont worry almost 99.99% people regret after buying new car and think it would be better if they both something else or something cheaper.Well if not 99.99% but all middle class people do who spent their hard earned money.I also thought for some time that it would be best if I would have gotten Civic Si or Mazda 3 but if you go to their forum I am sure they would also have some problem.

My advise to all of you who are regretting, just get in your new car go for a long drive and all of your worry will be gone and yeah dont check or investigate too much after you have bought your car. Just enjoy.I know its not easy even after buying my car for nearly 2 month I am still checking on Mitsu website and forum if anyone gotten any better deal than me.

Still enjoy!!!

Vivroy.

I put them on my car a week after I bought it and my side skirts are still thrashed from rocks. I have the rally armour flaps stick out as far as they will go and it helped a little I guess but it is still nasty.
