full restoration...
the maaco in my area is great. tell them what you want and pay them the right amount and it comes out perfect. the only thing that gives maaco a bad rep is the fact that they will do a piant job for the 179.00 special. if i was paid 179.00 bucks to do anything id do a ****ty job too. otherwise if you pay the normal rate its good. ill post pics when i get my evo 7 kit back from them on friday.
I agree with the Maaco comments, when you pay for a 179 paint job, that is what you get.....quick sanding and body work, cheap primer and cheap paint and probably the new guy in the shop is painting it. Tell them you want it done right and pay the extra dollars to get it done and it should be just as good as anywhere else. I had them do some paint/body work on a busted up jeep fender and they did a better job than the dealers go to body shop. They used some good paint too.....back in 96, it was 120 for a jar a little smaller than a **** test jar. The bodywork and paint came out perfect and all was done within a few days.......took the dealers guys 3 weeks just to do some touch up spots.....2 weeks of that, trying to get the paint to matchup....
