ahh i recently purchased an old 70's model mini cooper and im just finishing up my parts list for it it include a 2006 suzuki gsxr1300 busa motor and running gear, should be fun, rear wheel drive cooper comming up.

 

i have been thinking about it for a while, wanted to do it for a long time years since the 90's when i had one, the mini came with a 1300 engine and the busa is 1300 enging!!!!

the parts just got in to mitsu yesterday, ill have her up ther friday to get her fired.....

Cool build. Props to you for doing something different. Its a refreshing take on the whole evo conversion bit for the mirage scene and a wild thing for e8-9 owners to step out of their box.

I like how you did the rear subframe...did it proper. I applaud the idea of Evo8 coupe...I'm not sure about it though...it could go two ways. It will end up looking really bad or a hell of a lot better than the Norris Evo Coupe attempt. At the moment the car just looks out of proportion...but i understand it is far from being done so i'll hold judgment until its completely done.

thanks for the comments, yeah i have a ways to go but right now its out of my hands, i t does look out of proportions a bit right now but i think its alot to do with the two seperate colors, i reckon that when its all one color it will look in proportion, i did a photoshop of it in black and it looks brilliant.......

well the major update is that she is now at the body shop under going the final transformation, all her lines smoothed and blended.
mitsubishi have found that there is a broken wire somewhere in the loom but were not sure which one it is so for now getting her started is on hold....

 

sweet......so what color you decided to paint her?

 

Im not sure just yet, im going to look at her in primer and decide then, gotta see her nice and smooth and then ill be able to decide for sure on a color.
but i have black, blue, and metalic purple, but i also have an idea for a custom paint job, so ill have to wait and see..
either way its going to look sexy as hell..
i was also thinking of incorporating THE MARINE CORPS into it. its all up in the air right now...
