Exclamation Stock paint made lighter???

So, I want the red paint off the 2009 Lexus IS F. I love how the paint glistens in the sun and the effect it gives off. However, I wish it was a little more bright red. When repainting my Lancer, is it possible for the painter to make the Lexus paint a brighter red and still keep the effects in all its majesty?

If its possible and you know how its done or generally know how its done, could you give me a brief rundown of the process. Nothing too in depth is necessary.

Sanks! Sanks a rot!

I guessed this much, but I want that exact paint effect just in a brighter red. Will changing the base red color affect the effect the paint has in the sun. I dont know if its a pearl or metallics or what it is but I want it to stay the same if its possible to change the brightness of the red.

just goto a nice paint shop and tell them what you want....its that easy...or u can take them a print out of the color you want, they can scan it and make it for you....there is endless possibilities to what can be done with paint. i am not a paint expert so its probably best that you talk to some.

Aight thanks man. I mean I don't have money to paint my car for a bit. So, I was just getting some info before I actually talk to the paint shop peeps.

Go to a automotive paint vendor (the one that distributes paint to all bodyshops)and bring the paint code and ask for professional advice. Check yellow pages

Brighter can mean a lighter shad of red, or it could mean more metallics in the paint which make the paint pop in the sun. Just be specific of what you really want.

I can get my car painted for whatever materials+paint costs plus $100. I got a quote for Mini Cooper Blurple materials+paint when I had my Camry and it came to $300. So, I'm thinking I'll spend $400-$500 for the whole job! I'm getting hooked up of course!

Is this a pearl or what is it??? I love it!

Audi Misano Red Pearl, more of a pure red IMO.

I went out to a bunch of dealerships to look at paint and I found the red paint I want! VELOCITY RED as seen on newer Mazdas. Google it.
