psionic98- Have you heard anything from superbright on when those wide angle gauge light are coming out. I used the other ones in my OZ and it turned out looking like shiznit. Only parts of the gauges light up. I used their wide angle #74 lights in the climate control an it looked great.

Lemme get this straight. They told you to build yourself, a product they are getting ready to offer anyway. That sounds a little backwards. Or is it just me?

well, as they said it, they said "for now, thats all I can do" but of course they wouldn't tell me when the new shipment was coming in... I'll email them again this weekend and try to find out when it is coming in, but if the bulbs back there are already in them same holders... #74 widebeam bulbs should just be able to be put in place of the condom'd bulb thats in there now.

do you have any widebeam 74s right now evo-shmo? if so, think you could try one out in the cluster to see if it's even worth the wait? ATM, no response back yet!

psionic--I've got one extra one I could try. If you think it might work I will give it a shot. They look like they might be too long. I'll tear the gauges back out tomaro night and see how it works. That's the earliest I can get to it. I'll let you know how it turns out.

you also might try taking some sandpaper and lightly scuffing the tip of the LED so that it is somewhat opaque, it'll spread the light a little better that way. Also, how many bulbs are in the dash cluster of the OZ?

do our gages have colored bulbs or does the actual gage face that is white now have a red film over the marks where the light shines through? I'm wanting my gauges which are white faced to have a hyperwhite light glowing instead of the orange/red we have now.

nevermind, I pulled mine apart real fast and found the 3 bulbs that have the red gel cover on them. looks gross without them! now I got afigure out which bulbs those are through all of this thread with all kinds of bulb #'s.

u guys think the LED's from this site would work and be bright enough?

Well no dice. When I switched the bulbs the #74's seem like they are to long. Sanding the end t1.5 made it better gut still isn't light ing the whole cluster. Maybe when superbright comes out with that wide angle, they might fit better. Unless they sell us what I tried. That would suck.

Ultra- Those LED's won't work because they will only light up what is directly in front of them. You end up with 3 spots on your gauges that are lit and the rest will be dark.
