alright yall, here's the deal. i've been in the wheel market for a while now, and i've finally decided on some rims. had my heart set on 18s, but 18x8 just seems like it'll take all of the performance and functionality out of the car.. so i've decided to go with 17x7.5 and a larger tire.

ANYWAYS

this is where all of you come in. post pics of your rims (doesn't matter what size.. 17s preferred) and your wheel/tire/drop specs. i'm looking for an idea of how big a tire i should go if i'm planning on dropping to make the gap look bearable. (good ex of 17s: bostonlancer's car before he parted it out and sold it)

where do all of you get you're evo 7 wings? ceriousperformance? any other place sell them?

 

i know i knwo they dont have tires on them or arent on a car, but i think their sweet and want to get some opinions, my future set...

 

you can find fiberglass ones on ebay for under $100 now (i think about $100 shipped). carbon fiber is still $250+ even on there.. but i'll prolly end up getting a fiberglass evo vii and paint the deck black. cf is too expensive compared to how functional it is on a lancer

yea, those rims are pretty damn nice! get some 205/40/17s on it, and get a drop in there.. those will be beautiful. btw: what color is ur car.

heres a pic of my rims i have 215 / 40 / 17 yokahama paradas on them that are almost down to the wear bars. ill get a real [ic of my car up this weekend when i can borrow a digi cam. my wheels are 17x7 1/2 and have a +42 offset

 

if i must show off my car. things added after these pics. Springs, Clear reflectors, AEM CAI, RRM strut bar, Denso plugs (on the way), R-1 racing seats (on the way). it looks SOO much better lowered!!
