Stay with your current setup and like Majestic Lancer said, get a Mitsu emblem for the grill, it just looks too empty to me. If you really want a CF grill, wait until you get the CF hood, otherwise I dont think the colors would match well. As for XRS-Lift, where do you think the term "evo" came from? It's just the shortened street name for LANCER evolution. Not to mention that grill looks nothing like your precious Evo 8's. And I know for a fact that this grill isn't remotely like ones on the previous evolutions, they never had a separate grill piece attached to the hood, so it isn't even an exactly replica. Besides, not everyone can afford the evo, and who wouldn't wish they had one?

Next time you think of talking trash about Lancers, take a short walk aroung the back of your car and read the badging on the trunk....it says LANCER! After that calmly walk over to you exhaust pipe, bend over, and shove it up your ***. And for further reference, us LANCER owners dont buy **** for our cars cause it says "EVO" in the name, because we are not the ones naming the parts available. If you have a problem with LANCERS, trade yours in, go out buy a HONDA, and then.............................................. ..................... drive it into a wall. Any Questions.....good!
And Ryan, I think your car looks great like it is! I really like the idea of adding a badge to break up the empty space in the center of the grill. You can do what I did and contact someone in Japan that has access to JDM parts and get the JDM "LANCER CEDIA" badging and use that. Just a suggestion, but I hope it sparks some new ideas. I like the look also, dont do CF. I am thinking about putting an emblem in the grill too but not too sure yet.
As for XRS, I can see you have been put in your place pretty good considering you haven't replied to the humiliation you have just been put through, so I'll take my "Evo look-a-like" and go elsewhere. Toodles!

Hey everyone thanks for all the great feedback. Thanks to everyone who backed up out lancers, we all know its not an evo, we are just trying to give out own style we are improving on the things that need improved on. I have to give credit to all the turbo'd lancers out there they aer making our engines stronger I think its great. As for the poll I am going to keep it the way it is untill I get my cf hood. I like your set up as is. All your gaps are very tight (Fit looks great). If you go with CF stuff you will have larger gaps.

Budlong-As I said in a previous post I am doing what I want the vote was quite close. I wanted feedback frm people to see what they thought I was torn either way I just need one little kick to help me decide. that wasnt the type of feedback I had asked for. Keep those 2 cents yourself(figures another evo owner) what happend to you all.

Ok first things first. About being put in my place... please.. I havnt replied for 2 reasons.
1. Because i forgot about this thread untill i got a pm sayng i had a warning.

About walking to the back of my car and seeing the Lancer emblem... NO. I removed that 5 minutes after bringing it home from the dealer. it only says Evolution. The Evo is not just a supped up lancer. If that were the case anyone could turn a lancer into a evo with just a couple grand. The only thing they share in common is the base name of lancer and the shape of the trunk lid. The internals of the motors are even different.
Anyway im not here to brag about the evo or anything. I admit wheni posted i came off a bit harsh. I didnt mean to down lancers. What i meant to do was down the idea that imitating a evo {mainly the evo 7} was a cool thing to do. you might as well be a civic owner if your gonna do that. Im just tryin to encourage lancer owners who want to modify the appearance of their cars to make it something unique, not another evo wannabe. I cant tell u how many times ive driven around and seen sorry *** imposters on the road. Ive seen lancers with the evo 7 ram air intake on the hood but without the air vent. ive seen them remove the grill and put a mitsu star in the center and put a big wing on the back and think they are bad ***. and almost EVERY lancer body kit ive seen is an imitation of the evolution 7. Ive also seen some really tight looking lancers with slick stylish body kits. Of course they didnt look like an evo. They looked like a pimped out lancer. and THAT is what i encourage you guys to do if you want to go the body modification route. Not the "lets make my car look like something its not" Anyway i think u guys udnerstand what my point was now. Not to just bash on lancers. My personal opinion was that lancers are ugly. mainly because of the way the stock front end looks. But other than that it doesnt look too bad. except for those 15 inch wheels. But thats all stock. Once again, dont be a civolution. be a lancer, a good one.
