This is a thread in progress. More to come guys. We shot some picts in our photo studio building. The studio is not built yet but we had empty space, and had the car in the shop so we thought we would start posting some picts. The car is the most amazing Lancer we KNOW OF! I mean this from a performance point of view. The fastest means, It is gonna BE for sure. All is there and we expect to continue helping this owner including lightening the car more, more boost etc.... 14 PSI is on pump gas. This is his daily driver as well!

actually after rereading both my post and also turbotimes post.. they both seem to be pretty legit non-negetive constructive responces.

we are mearly asking for what they made the post for, and to explain what there posting..

If i said i had a brand new front bumper.. but only posted a picture of the driver seat. isnt that very misleading?
just seems wrong for a company to post about apparently having something, but not explaining any of it, and only posting an overview.. it would of been better for them to take a few steps back and include the rest of the room cuz we cant see anything of importance in the pictures other then the paintjob.

Man... wow... this is the reason i'm hardly ever on EvoM anymore. A simple post can get people blasting away.

A better way to have handled things would be to say "PROVE IT" and not banter on.

I agree that this is a big claim by RRM without posting some time slips or dyno's! :Hint, Hint:

I have seen this car and it's impressive... let's just say i'm not easily impressed either. The trans was built by Level 10. I don't know anyone that can get them to do an auto tranny for less than about 2G's and that's for a basic rebuild with stall converter upgrade. The shifts are hard and instant. Upgraded stall, higher pressures, and upgraded solenoids... not to mention hardened gearing and increased pucks. There is a lot in that tranny.

There 100% are racing seats in the car... I sat in them. I believe these pics were from before it had them. Basically the owner didn't really care to post on the site. RRM felt that was a shame and a loss to the community. So they posted what they had. I'm sure they will get the car back and take more pics. For now they've caught your interests and that's the purpose of the post.

There is a massive intercooler but it has been blackened out.

In today's world we see body kits all the time. We also see stickers and hear that fart can pumping out the sounds. However, cops are onto the simple stuff, they want to get you impounded here in Cali. The intercooler is usually a sure way to get them spinning around. Getting the car to appear more evo-ish is another attempt to avoid cops. I think the car was done with this in mind and it's definitely done well for that.

This car has been on the dyno for many hours as well to get it putting down big numbers while maintaining the daily driven abilities. This is a huge accomplishment.

As everyone with a lancer knows... once you get making big numbers stopping, sticking, and basically holding on can be tough. This is a well thought out and well rounded car.

I'm excited to see what it can do... i've taken a few rides in it and can say, without a doubt, it's a 12 second car. Knowing that is one thing... getting it to do that is another. Controlling a car like this on the 1/4 is a challenge all it's own. I've been there and done that!

ROCK... if you'd like i've been dying to get my SRT-8 down the 1/4 mile. Maybe we can all meet up at Cal Speedway or another 1/4 mile spot to get things settled.

No need to call anyone out... we'll just let the slip speak for itself. If it kills the 12.8 time then it does... if not then i'm sure it'll still be a great run with good numbers.

Seriously though guys... if you have a chip on your shoulder you're gonna let it show. This is what i'm seeing here. I'm not above it... i think no one is. However we can all just take a step back and take away the positives instead of the negatives. That's what we are all here for anyway right?

It is 100% understandable that we want to defend our rides, our investments, titles, etc. There's just a right and a wrong way to do it. Let's get it done the right way and avoid all the smackdowns.

 

^ no offense and dont take it the wrong way, but i believe rock or someone from RRM pm'd you to come in this thread to defend them. if you hardly get on evoM why log on and come straight to this thread? you cant overlook all the points that other people made.which is the only real problem i have with your post. nobodys saying its a slow car or that it cant put up numbers. RRM just went across in a real bad way and in a very unprofessional manor. if it was someone other than RRM, say a regular evom user. this thread would be even more heated.

 

12.8 is on a stock motor and stock trans.. (not that it lasted long)
My car will be at Importfaceoff for 6 events this year as long as its not broke. new motor setup is built, so hopefully ill be able to do more then 2 or 3 passes to really show what the car can do.. hoping my trans blows up so i can swap to a 5spd (my rules always been, if it aint broke, dont upgrade or remove it)

Also awsome that u were able to explain a little on whats done to the trans. i have been thinkin about upgrading my trans for a long time, but the idea of a 5spd swap just keeps screaming 'its cheaper' in my ear the whole time.

It would definatelly be nice to see better pictures of the car and have the owner actauly come on here, but alot of people dont like doing that, i can understand that. If u got a nice ride, dont be afraid to show it off!

But in all honestly.. its been looking like RRM has been slowly pulling out of Lancers over the last year or so(some parts dont seem to be listed anymore, plus they parted out there race car). why promote the "fastest automatic lancer" when your kits r designed for street use and not really race use... just wondering?

 

No offense taken. I usually just pop on and type in ROCK for the search. Then I bust thru his posts to see whats going on with RRM. I do talk to them often as I built a friendship with them back in the day. However i've also recently been posting in other threads as well. Just check out my latest posts. I'm around... lurking in the background. LOL!

Please don't try and take a virtual swing at me though. It won't work and I believe i've been around long enough to learn the ways of the ninja! JK... please though, don't puff out a chest at me.

I know what blowing the stocker is like. I believe I went thru 5 engines total in my day. Never the tranny though. That sucker held up thru it all. All it had was the LSD which is a must for the 5 speed when you put down that kinda power. The stock spyders are crap.

Level 10 auto upgrade is an awesome way to go... just pricey. Myself I prefered the auto. I helped design a lot of the auto kit and tuned it... oh so many years ago. The kit has progressed since then but the car itself is still the same. The auto staying in boost thru shifts was awesome and if I could do it all over again I would have gotten an auto instead of the 5 speed. The auto takes a lot off of the driver IMHO. Getting the launch is hard but with the Level 10 upgrades it should be way easier.

By the way... my motto used to be: Boost it more, break it, rebuild it better, repeat. Eventually my pockets were just to light doing it that way. I was able to get a 12.8 out of her on stock motor. That was awesome... it was also great getting it into the 13's with the non-intercooled setup.

In the end i've been around a long time... built many cars, tuned countless others, and i'm still doing it today. Props to you and your ride. It's definitely the fastest proven auto I know of... RRM can't take that away from you until a timeslip is posted!
