I don't think they are pulling back... they may drop a part here or there due to sales or maybe even availability but, from what I've seen, they've been the longest lasting vendor, with the most parts, for the lancer.

Parting out the race car has a lot of history behind that. There was a lot of heart in building it, not just for company purposes. A lot of hands involved. When an accident occured taking a dear friend from the world a lot stopped. They tried to revive it but it was time to let it go. That in no way meant RRM was dropping the lancer line up. They just wanted to invest money elsewhere. That's business. They have a 09 lancer turbo now... moving forward.

Promoting is what Companies do... they have to. What I see is that there are a lot of RRM parts on the car. That shows how much they still support the lancer with products.

Often "street kits" turn into "race kits." We just use the street kit as a base. This is what most do, even I did. It helps to get a foot in the door, especially if you're new to the scene. Having their kit and parts as a foundation to this cars success is a huge positive for RRM and the lancer community. It shows that RRM is still there, will be there, and won't give up on lancers. That's what I see anyway. What do you think?

Off topic:
rrm has been the only ones that have dedicated parts for the lancer platform. I own an 08 lancer and most performance parts that i want are from rrm (cvt turbo kit).
what other company do you know that has more items for the lancer than rrm??

on topic: that car looks nice, i usually don't like the 04's but this one looks nice

krnkimchi702 your mistaken.. go join projectlancer or 9glancers and you will find many companies/vendors who support the lancer with dedicated parts.

I do have a memebership on 9glancers. and the point is that big companies make one item for lancers while rrm produces things for us. they were the first to make the lightweight pulley,piggybacks, headers etc. I don't see any other companies that has a dedicated website where you can look at all the parts that are available for the lancer on ONE site. I guess thats my opinion and you are entitled to your own.

by all means don't view this as us "favoring" venders. They are held by the same rules as "regular" members.

rrm: if you really want to claim the fastest auto lancer, you might want to put up some time slips and post better detailed pictures.

 

how is this not favoritism? none of the guys previous post were bashing the company they were obvious questions and concerns about the post. if u didnt see anything wrong with the post of this thread then you have extreme favoritism toward this company. i never seen a site that deletes everything thats not praising one company. even in the evo forums if a company gives a bad product or makes outrageous claim. people speak freely about it and posts arent deleted for just bringing up valid points. i can point you to similar threads in the evo sections where action like this wasnt taken

 

by all means, you can criticize a company. Be a grown up and have a mature conversation rather than you just bashing the **** out of a company. Vendor's are here to advertise, and people criticize advertisements every day. Companies like RRM,AMS do not have dedicated internet staff to keep up with their threads 24/7. Maybe the lancer is the fastest, but they havn't gotten around to posting the time slips etc. I do believe with you guys, that if your going to make a claim about the fastest lancer, they should've been prepared and posted time slips and pictures that show what is in their build description.

 

The car is sick and the people who are bashing Road Race are really immature! RRM is running a real successful company and im pretty sure they are busy and dont have the time to be sitting there making up lies about there cars. They might now have posted time slips just as of yet, but im sure they will come through when they can find the time but that doesn't give anyone the right to put anyone down or pick a fight lol. They were simply impresses with the job they have done on the lancer and put up a pic of the car for you people to enjoy!

I dont think there was anything immature about what I posted but whats done is done, at least some members got to see whats really going on.

infact im inspired by the car as i have a auto lancer and maybee go down the same route but n/a form in the future... its nice to havem near me only 1.5hr drive from my house...

Right, i guess people could take that the wrong way but only if your mis judging what they mean by saying that. Road Race is just trying to say that they are trying to inspire people and show them a car that will motivate lancer fans. No need to get worked up over the matter but this is a nice car and thats about it. There shouldn't be anymore to say and who ever doesn't like it has there own taste in cars.

 

I like what ozr lancer had to say! RRM is a great company and if you have the chance to experience owning a lancer RRM is the one company that can help you enjoy your car and mod it. I own a 09 lancer and rrm is a reputable company to go through to find the parts i need with excellent fitment!
