Scratches on back window

Recently, I just got my back windows tinted, and there were scratches across my window, side to side, top to bottom.....it was not done by the tinter, a razor was never on my back window, I personally don't think it could be an act of vandalism - why would they just attack my back window? Not any other part on the car? So IMO, this seems like a dealer defect

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

To replace my back window on my own would be $477 with tax - thats the cheapest out of pocket I have found

I have a $250 comprehensive deductible - if that matters for anything.

Because I have been so busy working, I have not been able to talk to the dealer. Do you think they would cover this, or basically say that I am SOL without replacing the window

Should I not worry about it? It's not really noticeable until you stand next to my car, and I can see it when driving............

Outside..........

The tinters are my friends - they told me the scratches were on there before they started

I bought my car used and the back window was tinted already and it also has vertical scratches on it. I don't know if it's from the tint or the window, but they're starting to bother me too.

Dunno. I never have seen that on mine. I have tinting also.

Can you tell if the scratches are on the inside or outer of the glass? (I'm guessing inside.) Then it is probably a defect?

Why not contact the dealer you bought it from?

Those scratches are came from the dealer. Whoever pulled the protective covering and stickers off the car used a razor blade to clean the excess sticker glue off the window.

I noticed the same thing when I was looking for my Evo. Some were really bad and others were ok.

My OZ has lines going vertically and horizontally that look like blurs almost instead of definite lines. It makes it look like it is foggy in a checkered patter. I do not have tinit yet so i was wondering if others knew what that is?
