i got my car back in may and about 2 months ago i notice that my bumper, side skirts and rear bumper have become a darker yellow than my door, fenders and hood. it doesnt really bother me b/c i'm gonna get my body kit painted. i just wanna know if it has happened before and due to what? ... not washing it often or waxing it?

 

probably un even sun distribution?? Yellow has been known to fade

 

maybe. or if it has some thing to do with paint on fiberglass and metal. it looked all nice when i picked it out in the deal. ... but now

 

I noticed a difference on mine too, and a difference on the inside of the door jams. I'm keeping mine clean and waxed to try to minimize the difference.

 

mine is ok still. had for a year. maybe its on 03 lancer paint problem.

 

i gotz a yellow 03, nothing yet

 

Wash ever week and wax about twice a month. Had it since March 02 and no problems with paint fading.

 

did you wax it at all?!? if you keep it clean and wax maybe once a month, it will help to avoid fading the yellow on the car and the skirts.

 

no problems at all. i wash it every weekend and wax every 6 mos.
