i feel you guys..... i dont even care anymore either. i'm just sticking to my stock headlights. besides, i just helped my buddy install some projectors on his yukon and man...... they suck. they "look" cool during the day, but at night the lighting is horrible. he was pissed he spent so much money and his stock headlights were better. i'm not about to spend 350+ for headlights and then put a good HID kit for 500+. no thank you.

email sent to OBX today:

To Whom it may Concern,

A large group of Mitsubishi Lancer owners (affiliates of California car clubs SCLC, CALSLAM, and enthusiast forum evolutionm.net) have become aware of your intentions to produce a projector headlamp conversion kit for our vehicle. We've noticed that you have listed the part on your 2004 catalog as well as on your web site, from which we must deduce that the part is very near final production. There already exists an extensive list of owners just waiting to buy the part as soon as it hits shelves, but we've yet to see it.

The purpose of this letter is to obtain some information, and perhaps apply a little bit of friendly pressure as to the production of this kit. Does OBX still intend on producing a projector headlamp for the 2002-2003 Mitsubishi Lancer? (we are hoping the answer is YES!) If so, at what stage is the current production? Or, more directly, what kind of an estimated wait time are we looking at before the product reaches sales?

We absolutely love the headlight kits that you have available for other vehicles, and are very excited about seeing the production of one for our vehicle, as well. Any information you can provide would greatly comfort an anxious group of enthusiasts.

Sincerely,

Scott Hales

tell them to make it as a 9007 unit instead changing the wiring.

I heard projectors actually have worse lighting distribution and visibility than reflectors, some dude from Depo told me. (well, stock cars with projectors + HID dun count )

IMO who cares?! lol... they look TITE...

that might be a bit faulty of me, but i'm so stoked on the look of the projectors, i don't care if the lighting's a little worse ... i do plan on getting an HID kit, too. just don't think the projectors would look quite right without it.
