news on projectors/angel eyes
well i dont know what to say......... i guess the update is: nothing yet. depo, obx, and advance imports havent said anything yet. i keep checking the websites, and nothing. i talked to my buddy recently and he told me the same thing...... still waiting. i dont understand why they keep the employee's "in the dark". i guess they dont want to promise anything and not deliver (on a specified date). i had a feeling this was going to take time. ahhhhh well, nothing to do but wait.
this thing better comes out soon 'cuz the guy I order the black housings from, said DEPO has stopped production on those headlights and he only has a couple more sets before his inventory goes empty...
that means this projector thing will be the last resource of aftermarket headlights for us US Lancers...unless you wanna spend $500+ to buy those projectors from CS.sg

hey L... why don't you drop us the phone number of your contact over at OBX (or whoever is producing these things), so that we can start calling and getting on their case?
Betcha $100, if they HEARD more demand, we'd get a faster release on this product.

appreciate the post, phantom, but last time i checked, aftermarket production companies (yes, even the big ones), start production with a very limited amount (and especially on previously unmarketed products, such as headlight housings for the 02-03 Lancer), and base further production on product acceptance in the market. A brand new product for an untested platform is never "mass-produced" (as you put it) without a good example of marketplace acceptance.
such being the case, pre-release commentary from the intended customer base will certainly make a difference in how quickly the company gets their initial "test" products out into the field.
