Question Wheres' Your Switches?

So i have underdash neons, some strobes, and glow pedals...i had my switches inside my ashtray so i could open/close it...but sometimes if i pushed the ashtray all the way down some wires would get loose and i'd have to wiggle the ashtray to get them to come on...

so now i am curious where everyone has put there switches for there interior lights. i was thinking of the top part of the center consoel when u flip open the lid, or in that cubby hole, kinda like Kontras, or the secret compartment to the left of the steering wheel, or just above the cup holders where the console starts to slant up...

i have everything wired, but my center console is all taken off etc. so i got wires everywhere, lmao, and its all hooked up to 2 switches, one switch is both 10" underdash neons, the other switch is to the strobes and glow-pedals. im curious as to how all of u have switches and where u placed them.

I also want a push-start button like Kontra...and i was curious if the 'push-start button' from autozone would do the trick...or could i use any button and hook it up to the engine start or whatever...anyways....yeah...so long of a post for a simple question

...granted that you are looking at two switches as opposed to one, but...

yeah i think i saw the pic of the switches in that change tray.

i just got bored of having to dig around for the switch in the ashtray...seemed like a pimp idea at the time, but got to be to much of a hassle...i liked the one guy that put the switches on the top lid of the console...where u flip open the top part and they were there, that was sweet looking. i'd get that whole CF Glovebox thing but thats way to much.

I'll get pics of mine - I customized the cubby hole with 4 switches - fogs, under-seat neons, under-car neons, trunk neons

what are all of u using to have the switches in that cubby hole? and how are u running the wires to them? did u just take out that hole piece (undo the 2 screws on the top of it) and have that huge area to run wires to? and than what are u using to mount the switches to?? i really want to do that cuz it looks awesome !

..AND I wouldn't have to take apart my console if i wanted to change some things, lmao

After you take out the cubby hole the pocket unscrews and you've just got the plastic surround i just made up some brackets took a piece of poster board put some carbon (imitation) fiber paper on it put my switches thru it and tadow! although their moving next month cause i'm relocating my radio down there
