I believe you have to let the springs settle naturally. You cannot force them to compress otherwise you will get an uneven settling.

Yeah, they usually settle a little bit, and then they might sag some more later.

We have RSR Titanium springs that won't sag, but they are more expensive.

even when a spring "settles" it may only drop another 1/8-2/8" or so..something you can't really notice. do not compress the springs to make them shorter because if you go beyond their compressibility (spring constant) you will perminatly destroy them and you will get a horrible ride. also don't cut or try to clamp the spring down since this will also change the property of the spring and will result in a horrible ride also.

yeah i have eibachs, the drop isn't as low as I wanted. i would switch to teins but i don't have time to get it replaced with my eibachs. if you want teins, a friend of mine is selling it, its brand new, i made a thread in the private/for sale forum a while ago.

If you wanna drop it some more Progress makes pretty good springs. You can buy a set that will lower the lancer 2.0" and it only costs $160 @ ptuning.com. It's cheap and effective.

does anyone have experience with those progress springs? what about the sprint ones? if so, please let me know what you think of them and post pics of your ride for an idea of how it would look...i've heard that the price you pay will reflect on the quality of the spring, which obviously makes sense, and since these are only like $150 or whatever, can they possibly be trustworthy? i've also heard that the stock lancer shocks can't handle loweing the car too much...will the progress or sprint springs produce a possible problem with breaking springs or anything? appreciate any info...cause even though these springs are cheap, the price to repair broken shocks will compensate for the money saved on the cheap springs...
