Anyone rocking dark tints?
-Aesthetics
-Glare Reduction
-Privacy
The windshield tint helps a lot at night. I've gotten used to the darkness at since I started the thread and it's really great. I'm not going to be biased though, it can be dangerous if you're not paying attention. Just watch the road and everything's crispy.
When driving during the day, there is nothing about my windshield tint that makes it more difficult for me to see. My visibility is actually much better than it was untinted. The glare reduction from 35% makes everything more clear and puts less strain on my eyes.
As for privacy and aesthetics, they're pretty self explanatory. The whole privacy thing is probably coupled with my anxiety to some extent. Nonetheless I really don't want people to see me when I'm driving.
Hope that answered some questions and made me look like less of a retard. Woooooopwoop
update:
after getting these tints, (5 all around and 35 on the windshield) i was pulled over multiple times, had my car searched on more than one occasion (for other reasons, but the tints are why i was pulled over in the first place), and off the top of my head, at least 3 separate instances of tickets. oh and i don't think i lasted more than a year with them. it was too much attention. you become a cop magnet. anyone that got in my car loved it though lol. i also burned out the motors for my driver and passenger windows. it would take probably 10 seconds for it to fully roll up or down by the time i scrapped the car in 2017. i had to do this because you can barely see if you're driving at night, so i rolled the driver side down anytime i was making a left turn. it was a little easier for right turns since the windshield was 35. not being blinded by cars with HIDs behind you was also a huge plus.
it was a fun time though. the best way to describe it is "driving with sunglasses without wearing sunglasses". i recommend doing it if you don't smoke weed, have a lawyer that can go to traffic court for you, and at least $1000/year to spend on tickets (i was 0/3 on these back then). not sure which states have the laws where you can do **** like this, but if you live in one, maybe bump it up to like, 5 on the back, 35 around, and 50 on the windshield. it's much more reasonable and safer.
