Painted my Headlights!

Yesterday i was bored so i decided to black out my headlights...took me about 3 hours or so...only bad thing that happened was i broke the chrome piece inside the headlight that i was gonna paint, when pullin it out...but super glue fixed that, and it being painted black you can't really tell it was broken now anyways...so here are the pics I took today

welcome to the OEM Black Housing club =)

btw man, you might wanna change your parking light back to amber. white bulb doesnt shine so much on black housing and nice bumper light!!

looks nice!

Question - does the painted housing prevent much light during night time? Thats my only concern. The chrome seems to reflect the light alot .. not sure if the painted black dulls the head lights during night time.

What did you use to re-fix the headlight piece to the housing?

Thanks for the compliments guys...i'd tryin to not have any amber lenses period..so that's why i'm stickin with white...the bumper light is actually LED blacklight...not sure if i'll get pulled over for this..but whatever..i had the headlights out so i put those in anyways..
and digdat i can't really tell any difference drivin at night with loss of light..it almost looks like light may be more projected forward, and maybe a loss on the sides..but hard to tell
oh...and to reattach the headlight together...i put the half of the housing in the oven again...to get the silicone sticky again, and then reattached the 2 parts together...then put the whole thing in the oven one more time to loosen it a lil more so i could really get it together good..i did this since i couldn't fit both pieces together in the oven

good ****.. lookin real good .. as for reduced visibility, u dont need to worry about that.. black housings just simply reduce glare rather than light output

hey, i realized that painting the headlight housing black does make it harder to see at night. i drive alot in the dark and it got a little harder to see, so i think im gonna get some PIAA bulbs and see the difference.
