making an offer on an oz this week

alright folks, putting an offer on a white oz this week! its an 03 and its only got 14k on it and i get my sunroof!

anywho, which body kit would you recommend?

checked out www.body-kit.com and i like the ken style kit...only thing is, which kit is the one where you have to remove the bar in front?

and i am going to paint the whole thing blue so i think i will be the only evom member with a blue oz!

and then some nice gold rims, and debating on carbon fibor for interior dash or painting diff parts to match the exterior

what do you think?

oh and how much does it run at maaco to paint small sedan?

never ever ever ever EVER go to maaco to get your paint done!
I'd only ever do it if i had a 1000$ car that I had to make look like
2000$ and then sell it quick..

You want a factory style finish (read style, because no matter what is done the factory will almost always beat out a repaint), it will cost you close to $3000. Thats for a good dual stage paint thats sprayed by professionals. Honestly Id say keep the car in its current color, because most likely that paint job will look better.

as far as the kits go, i would get the ken style. none of the kits available require removing the front reinforcement bar. although depending on where who get your kit from, some require removing the rear reinforcment. and like everyone else has said, don't go to macco. a good paint job, depending where you go, can run you any where from 1k - 3k or more. if i were you, i would find a place that uses "house of kolors" paint. that is probably the best automotive paint you can buy. it is more expensive, though. if you never heard of it, look in just about any car mag where the car has a custom paint job.

god damn....

could always leave it white...get the kit painted and get the gold rims like vivids banner....or chrome...then of course...chrome doesn't really work for a performance vehicle...too much weight?

ok, u got white...ur lucky u have near endless possiblities to make it look nice, us thunder gray people dont got that lol, but i love thunder gray

here is what u do....

u can use gold rims, that'd be fine, KEEP IT WHITE! than geat Carbon Fiber Hood and Trunk, and a spoiler if u want to. A CF spoiler will go great with the CF Hood/Trunk.

Paint ur INTERIOR to match the white on the outside...paint the vents/ac knobs/around the power window buttons, little things like that.

than get an intake/headers/cat-back and ur good to go

I KNOW IM GONNA GET FLAMED FOR THIS...but i like this wing..

cf looks good on brighters cars like yellow or white. it just looks miscolored on tgrey or black. Honestly, the accolade (body-kit.com) are pretty agressive and might be too much if youre gonna keep the motor stock.

in my opinion i would either keep the stock oz kit or maybe a kaminari. whatever you do do not get fiberglass, you will regret that forever.

i agree with drive02lancer about painting the interior white. i think that is hte best looking color for the interior painting. are you not going to consider the kaminari kit? i think thats the best looking and many say it has the best fitment.

well i have been lurking profiles and looking at a lot of different rides to see whats best for me, and i agree on the carbon fibor hood, they look so good on white oz's

i thought about kara's chrome 18's but it might clash, white on chrome/ white on white, too much of one color...

how would you go about making your own carbon fibor? so i could make pieces for different parts of the car? or is the process to difficult?

leaning towards the apex kit...its looks really good

It's an OZ, so kits can be secondary.
So def. Wheels!
and if it's white, def. bronze wheels and nothing else!

PS. and DON'T copy my idea of painting my car blue! I have that planned after like....everything and still have that extra 1k...
