the OZ clusters are interchangeable with ES clusters...just plug and play not definate about the digital mileage though but im sure you wouldn't mind having a low mileage cluster on your car

This has been covered over and over, try running a search next time, before you make a thread.

But...since we're already here...

You can easily swap the OZ cluster for an ES/LS unit, as they all use the same connections. However, new clusters are VERY expensive and you have the added problem of mileage being stored in the clusters' internal memory.

If you change the cluster, you need to have a government authorized facility record the true mileage on the car before the change. If you have 20,000 miles and swap for a brand new factory cluster, you suddenly have 0 miles.

This is illegal, and is basically identical to old-skool odometer rollback. A few guys have swapped clusters though. After you run a search, you should look them up for more info.

keep your eyes open in the Parts/trader section of this forum as well as ebay alot of OZ's being parted recently and some of them were selling their parts for dirt cheap.

say the OZ gauges have 12,000 miles on it. And on the ES it has 11,500. If I drive around my ES another 500 miles, then is it still okay to swap in the OZ gauges w/o going to an gov't authorized facility or wut not?

Isn't the car's mileage read from the ECU? Confused...

You would probably be fine just switching the gauges without driving around. As long as the difference isn't too bad, it will never show up as odometer fraud. Odometer fraud would be a very bad thing. If you dont want to do that, switching them when the mileages would definately be ok because no one would ever know the difference.
