Question HOWTO Req: Taillight replace

Sorry for the lameness, but I really suck at this stuff and seem to be kinda stuck.

One of my tail lights on my 02 ES has burnt out so I bought a new set of bulbs (12v 7443/BP2's). Anyway, I got the tail light unscrewed (2 screws on the fixture it self), but they are also being held into the trunk. I tried removing some of the plastic push-pin's holding the trunk felt in place and got it off enough to see some rubber-covered push-pins holding the lamp in. I cant get them out! I tried pliers, but no luck.
I also had trouble taking the felt out. I broke 1 of the pins =[ I was using a screwdriver to pry them out. Any recommeneded way to do this better? And what about the lamp itself?

HELP!!
Thanks guys,
J

you take out the two screw in the side like you did then pull the whole thing straight out. the two clips will let go with firm constant pulling.

i have switched mine a few times. you really dont need those plugs to keep the tails secure, only the two screws are needed. i used pliers to take it off so maybe you just need to put your back into it. when you ge the lamp out there will be 4 bulb sockets. it will be pretty easy to figure out which one it is, just look in the owners manual if you still cant. i actually just had some burn out on me a couple days ago too, bu i still havent replaced it.

This thread is like 1 hr old and I fixed it! That was WWWAAAAYYY easier than I was making it. Thats what I get for having my roommate who owns an old rusty dodge help me doing it (grin).

Thanks for the help guys! I hope my lack of knowledge helps someone else who needs to do this!
