if they'll stand up to the heat, then it would be cool.

it should.. people who cant afford a real CF hood use it... and them hoods get hot too... prolly hotter than the inside of the housings, right?

i had a hard time too, so i used a box cutter and 2 flat head screw drivers. i used the flat heads to pry and the box cutter to cut the glue, pry and cut, pry and cut, start from the tip of the headlight and work to the middle, once you get there the rest is cake especially if you baked em

ik this is kinda bringing back a dead thread, but i would like to know if you are supposed to paint the inside of the round turn signal part or mask it off or what? cuz wouldnt that kind of hurt the brightness of the turn signal? all the pix i see are ones of the housing inside the headlight, not the housing out side the headlight. so if anyone could help me out, that would be great

I painted mine black inside the turn signal. It is still bright b/c the bulb is not hidden.
Ignore the snow tires please.

are all the steps the same for a 05 lancer? they have those black "pins" holding them together, right?

My experience

just giving my review on this (I just finished) and what problems i encountered.

1. Dont do it on a cold and rainy day like I did (paint takes forever to dry)
2. be careful when taking the stuff apart. if you get the glue on stuff it is very hard to get off.
3.I did 275 degrees for close to 7 mins. It basically just pulled off once all the black clips were pulled back.
4.Be carefull when you put the housing back into the lense. I broke the "wings" off that screw into the lense. (It got stuck and I pushed to hard). I had to epoxy the "wings" back together.
5.if you want to change bulbs this is a great and easy time to do so.
6. only need one can of primer and paint. I bought two of each. way to much...
7.it looks great. I recomend this mod to anyone that has the patience to do it.
8. I used the directions in the How to section by digdat. they were great.
