17's look good, and not to heavy.

i think 17's would be better...cheaper rims, cheaper tires for them, lighter, and better ride quality than 18's

18's are rough on the ***, especially if you have some springs installed. 17's can handle some potholes and miscellaneous bumps here and there a little more practical.

I have 18s with 215/35/18 Tires and i have no problems i am about to lower my car also. When i put then on i notice the car felt different but that is to be expected with wider tires and lower profile.

rims are all about looks, if you're gonna go, go all out. get 18s. They might not be the smoothest ride ever, but trust me not taht big of a deal, and you get used to it after like a few days. 18s just look so much better.

go big or go home.
haha jk... not like 18s are even that big

I got 17's on account I work in NYC and the roads are HORRIBLE...18's wouldnt last me very long. I have 17's and to be honest I am very happy with them....cant tell much difference between 17s and 18s looks anyway, but that's just me...a whole lot to pay for 1 more inch and twice the headches (Not ****tin' on 18" owners...if I lived in Cali I would probably get 18's my damn self.)
