SO after i waited 6 months for the kenstyle kit to arrive over seas and i jsut had it about year.. plus i just repainted my car lambo yellow.. ($900 just to ship the paint here from europe).. just got that back 2 weeks ago.. my car meets a raccon/posson/armadillo, see its fairly dark in my area, (oak brook) and i was driven home from work then all of a sudden BAM!! i heard somthing roll under my car, i look in my rear-view mirror and i see somethign roll out. even with my HID's i didnt see anything.. i go back the next day and the road kill was gone... anyways heres the damage..

well see.. my insurance are usually good to me.. im praying.. the thing is though ... i dont like waiting for another one over seas... i might go c-west now.. *sigh*

Im going to raise the BS flag about the paint. First off, looks just like lightning yellow, so I think if you paid that you got ripped off. Second, paint is not native to certain lands, meaning the distributors that sell paint in Italy sell paint here as well. There would be no need to "ship paint." Im not buying the story.

Your car looked nice, but let this be a lesson, do not buy cheap fiberglass kits. Higher quality kits (such as Kaminari) would have flexed much more before they shattered, as yours did.

 

ditto on the paint, no one on this boards knows more about paint than me. the infamous color-shifting evo. ANY COLOR CAN BE MATCHED AT ANY GOOD BODY SHOP. beauty of computers. this applies to standard non specialized paint (i.e. color shifting, lightning, mirrored, or chromed) paints.

and when i spent all that money on a color i would MAKE SURE it didnt even closly resemble a stock color.

 

its also humorous that behind your bumper, the reinforcement is also the identical color,, since bumpers are painted off the car becuase flex additive has to be added.

 

i dont think thats the reinforcment bar. the reinforcment bar holds up the top of that kit so the kit would be hiding it. I think its just a part of the chassis.

 

Wow, that sucks that you spent $900 on lightning yellow paint but someone over in europe is laughing at the "stupid americans". You see, "lambo" is the europen word for "lightning"

well guys yeah.. i did repaint it ..i could try to find my receipt and find someone with a scanner.. people at Midwest Lancer Club saw the car while it was in the process of getting painted/ the pix dont do it justice.. hopfully i will still be able to finish my car in time for HIN..but i just got a intercooled turbo as well .. so i dunno... if you look at it in person you see a gold flake.. and when its in direct light it shifts from a golder yellow to a something very close to the lightning yellow.. secondly I dont appreciate the flaming.. i really dont see the reason to lie about repainting my car..
