Just put in my dash kit today. It is made of real carbon fiber. I bought it from a local auto trim place. The company makes and cuts the pieces right there, most of the kits you see around come from this place. Also, I think RMR sells a similar kit, but this kit comes with a lot more pieces. It is usually about $320, but I got a discount to about $275.

 

I also got rear pieces for the door, cupholders, and ashtray. They accidentally cut a manual shifter piece instaed of auto for me, so I gotta take it back Monday and have them cut a new piece. Very easy to do, just time consuming. With so many pieces I did it from 10:30am-12:30pm (2hrs).

 

Sorry to break it to you but that's not real CF. Those are just sticker overlays. They look pretty decent but IMO i think you did a lil too many peices. But that's just what I think... if you like it, all the power to u.

I think people would be more excited if they make REAL part replacement out of CF rather than just sticker overlays. Stickers look a lil tacky in my opinion, i'd much rather get my dash painted

 

Well, Cerious Performance is makng a cf middle armrest piece that lifts up and you can put cds in or whatever, so I'm gonna get that from them. And then I'm gonna see if they can make a whole bunch of other replacement pieces also.

 

They would get instant customers for that if they did.

 

is there a company that sells real oem replacement cf peices?????......or what about Carontrix's cf sheets is it possible to buy that and do custom fab for the interior or do you need a machine for the cf to be able to mold???????

 

Well like I said, I think Cerious Performance will be doing cf replacement pieces, starting with the arm rest piece... I'll get some info from them, and request them to make more pieces...

 

there is a piece that goes across the LED Clock that is made of CF for the evo8. obviously its gunna fit the lancer but ur gunna have to oversea order from europe. check the evo forums for it.

 

Looks pretty sharp though... I like the way it came out.

 

I HAVE SEEN IT!!! believe james.. ITS REAL!! i thought it was fake at first how he was talking about it.. i thought it was the cheap lil dash sticker kits.. the kit is actually carbon fiber pieces with adhesive on the back... not really a sticker.. NICE! i like it! ill vouch for ya

 

yeah they might be real CF but they still arent replacements. they are just cover ups. i dont think ppl here like cover ups. still looks nice, adds a real slick look to the car.
