Question cost of spring install??!

i have a pretty general question, im getting sum progress springs for my ES. and my bro in law hooks me up with putting stuff on my car. kus he works @ an auto shop (for 4 wheelers) but he still gives me the hook. i told him the other day that im getting sum springs to lower my car. and he told me it would cost like $300 to install the springs!!! i was like, sweet lord!! thats double what the springs actually cost!!! and thats $300 with the discount he gets off!!! i only paid $80 for him to weld my muffler on. dosent this seem kinda expensive to install springs??!?!?! what did yall pay to have your springs installed???

Springs and shocks

1st time: Free (+6 hrs and one friend helping)

2nd time: $250 rush job at a local tuner shop

I think an average shop would charge $200-$250. A "hook-up" should be able to do it $100-$200.

if you're in cali i'd say go to road race Gabe will put them in for 120, ($30 a spring), 30 is like what they charge for most installs

o2izzel i have the same springs and i got them put on for free, because it was so easy, me and my dad used the article to follow us along, so it made it simple if we had the tools...and it took us 2 1/2 hours maybe a lil less!!

Do the springs yourself. Its pretty easy and straightforward. Rob gives good instructions and advice on how to do it. Spring compressors are needed unless you get progress springs. you can rent compressors from pepboys for free, and probably other parts stores.
