hey man, don't feel that way. Some folks prolly don't know. If I knew I'd surely try to help, but sorry, dun know much about this topic.
Maybe you can go to a store that specializes in tires and ask them.

I imagine it might be something they check on the car should he be in an accident, but I don't really know why they would care. If they require that load rating and you want to conform with that, there's little advice we can offer. I've never seen someone mention that limitation and if it's a common one, at least I've never heard of an insurance company enforcing it.
I would suggest calling your insurance company to confirm exactly what they mean by this or posting the clause in your policy that deals with this and maybe a few eyes here on it can help explain things. Otherwise, if it all comes down to it and you have to have at least an 86 load rating, you'll just have to incorporate that into your new tire selection. I found a couple at TireRack that have an 84 load index, which is nearly close enough I'd say. But otherwise, go with 16" rims and 16" tires and an 84 load index is easily obtained (aside from better performance/weight/etc characteristics to boot).
Anyway, don't assume people aren't responding because they are ignoring you. I'm sure many people have looked and had no idea how to respond to your request. I've been researching for 10 minutes now to offer this reply. Do the same and you'll find your answers.

the tire company had the solution, they mashed the inner metal gaud out about 5mm and it did the trick. the insurance company ,in event of accident look for any non compliant parts fitted to your car ie non conforming load rated tires. even though the distance in braking of wrd 86 vs wrd 84 is vertually minimal but in an insurance stand point they wont pay up.anyways i got my 17s on they the pics are in us lancer show and shine titled (my baby). happy hunting
