ok im looking into springs for my 03 lancer, ive looked at RRM progressive and tein s or H tech. ive read stuff all over the board from springs are REALLY bad to thewy are fine and somepeople love them. but as said earlier, do they really destroy your shocks? i wanna get rid of my wheel gap and dont really care ofr performance, but i also dont wanna have to go out and pay for a new suspension because the old one broke. is the best bet to forget springs altogether, becasue i dont have the money for a full kit(looking at spending MAX $500). Ne one got a suggestion to what i should do, and is all this complaingin ive been reading about squeeking something i sholuld worry about and is there a remedy??

Yes they really destroy your shocks, people are not simply making this up. My brother has gone through 2 sets of shocks I believe on his corolla and he has eibachs. If you don't care about performance and are doing it just for looks, you might not even notice the sloppy handling and bumpy ride.

you can turn any spring/shock set into coilovers. A guy in my car club just put a coilover kit on his rx7, i think it only cost him around 400-500 for all four. they look pretty good. So far he loves them.

heres the site he bought them from. not a lot of info on site. but the # is there to call them. he got Tokico Illuminas kit.

heres link to pix of them on the rx.

You can't with the lancer, there are no adjustable shocks out there for us. I've also heard that the ground control sleeves suck.
