Spring Questions

Hi guys....Im thinking about to get springs for my 'Lancer ES 03'

I've just looked through on ebay and i saw a TEIN S spring.but is said it's for

lancer 02+ oz rally....then it doesn't fit on my car right???? im confusing.

If anyone have an idea.. please help me!

1.TEIN ? or RRM ? or other brand?

2.how much is OK to drop my car? (w/17"wheels)

thank you

p.s : car is really looks high after that i got new rims...so bad looking

Tein won't fit at all. Progress makes springs that fit the ES. No idea on max drop. In general springs are a bad idea since in a few months your stock shocks will be dead and your ride will be bumpy.

Instead of buying springs now and having them put in and then in a few months replacing the shocks i would reccomend waiting a bit and saving to get TEIN basic or super street coilovers....you WILL NOT be dissapointed.

the brand of sri really doesn't make any difference... they will all increase sound and increase HP with very minimal gains.

That SRI is fine, yes. K&N makes good stuff.

Personally, coilovers made the car too stiff for daily driving. Maybe pick up a set of Progress springs and the new struts RRM is selling for ESs? It would be more comfy, but still give performance benefits.
But if you want to go for hardcore stiffness, contact RRM and get a set of Tein coilovers (and the parts to fit them on your ES).

Have you tried more then just lowering springs on your car to know about a compared differance on the Lancer? No problaby not eh. Well I have. After blown struts and destroyed strut mounts from Lowering Springs (Tein-S techs) I went with a Nex Full coilover system and Man what a difference. The car handles like a go-kart compared to before. Weather you decide to go with Tein or Nex is up to you but if you plan on lowering your car then I suggest full coilovers, It may be an expensive initial cost but you will save big bucks in the long run, TRUST ME.

2 front struts assembly's for the Lancer (cause they both have to be replaced at the same time for safty reasons) is $600.00 CDN. and thats just the front. Another couple of hundred bucks and you can have full coilovers which replace front and rear.

Regardless you will blow your struts with lowering springs or sleaves. Its just a matter of time for when. Bumpy roads, Hard Cornering, and Lots of Driving will play a big factor in the life span of your suspention equipment.
