I dunno, but i dont think that raising brake fluid above it's boiling point inside a closed system will actually cause air to enter the system. Unless you were just joking around. its not like its carbonated and releases gas when you shake it up. . .
I would bet on the high speed glaze. I smoked the brakes in my truck once doing the same thing. i was going like 60 and stomped the brakes to avoid hitting a deer and after that i really couldnt brake right. and it stunk like a ****. it smelled almost like a burnt clutch. i thought iscrewed something up because it was mushy and unrespensive with the stopping for a few days, but i finally figured that it must have crystalized the pads and not destroyed them so i drove really slow around in a parking lot and pressed on the brakes. basically i would try to use the accelerator to keep the car from stopping while adding more and more brake. does that makes sense?> it eventually wore away the layer of glaze and everyhting was gravy once more.

^^^I'm sure any pads could... First (since this route is cheaper), try bleeding the lines for any air. You'll need a $2 bottle of Dot 3/4 brake fluid to replace the fluid released. If that doesn't do it, then just get a $20 pair of duralast pads or something until you get more $$$.

just try what SLVROZ said. thats the best route. it covers all the bases and costs the least amount of cash.

for real, oh sry i didnt know that, but mine was preowned so the people b4 me prob didnt care about taking care of it, and i was thinking of fixing it up but mitsubishi are not meant to be fast, lol, my friend has a civic with just a stock k20 engine swap(total cost with car was 1500, no turbo bone stock engine) and he could beat the new evo 9 mr, he runs low 12's at the track
