um sry im not lieing , other people that have there car exacly like that , a civic 95 hatchback with stock k20 beating evo's theres even one on myspace an evo 8 losing 2 a k20 civic(my friends just has intake mufflers and wieght reduction)
That's not stock then if he has an intake, a muffler and weight reduction. I'm guessing at the drag strip he also uses R-compound or drag tires. I just can't see a car in completely stock form (except for the motor swap obviously) taking on an evo, especially a FWD car with 220 hp and an amazing 152 ft-lbs of torque.

I've seen that video before, it's retarded and hardly something to base a civic or an evo on. If you look closely in the video it's pretty obvious that they're not pushing it, hell the traffic in the background appears to be gaining on them. Are civics potentially fast? Yes if you swap out the motor for something better (which also happens to be illegal) but I don't think they should be compared to something like an evo, that's just silly.

Back on track....
Brake fluid can overheat and boil in the calipers and lines... It WILL boil enough to create air bubbles... When you drained that black fluid out of it, im sure it was cooked, as are your pads and rotors if they got as hot as you stated earlier...
You need to flush the entire brake system completely to avoid fluid contamination in the lines, master cylinder, calipers, etc... Make sure you get good clean fluid at all four brakes...
Get some new pads and have your rotors turned if they aren't too thin already...

Hope you get things worked out.
I'm just sure the Evo would have liked to be called the "Sloevo" that lost to the civic known throughout the world. Kinda doubt that... Also look at other K20 vids vs Evos and other cars. Put that 200 hp motor in a 2000 lb car, want do you get? Simple terms...one fast Honda !
