Question Coilover Adjustment

The car is dropped 2inches, Lowest point on the car is 4.8 inches from the ground.
I need to take the car in for a full service im nearing 40k. I was told the car sits to low for the equipment to get underneath the car or on a lift. So I need to raise it 2inches and drop it again 2inches when finished with the service.

I currently have the tein basic coilovers. Can some one teach me how to adjust the coilovers. This will be my first time doing it myself. (Yes I have the tools the coilovers came with looks like hooks)

Is there tick marks on the coilovers so I know exactly how much to raise and lower or do I have to measure myself?

Do I need to get an alignment after I drop it again after raising it?

OK, easy solution - the threads should be dirty (assuming you DRIVE your car). You take the hooks and loosen the bottom ring (lock ring). You then take the hook and start moving the top ring. When you have about 2 inches of clean area, tighten the bottom ring and check it.

As long as you raise it and then drop it back down to the same height, your alignment SHOULD stay correct.

Ok Ill have to try it. How about if I grab 4 2x4's put one on each tire and drive the car up on the 2x4's to raise it. Im thinking that way what ever equipment they are using even a ramp they can get it up the ramp or get the hoist underneath the car.

Depends. Sometimes the car has to be a certain physical height, not just a certain height off the ground...

Well in this case they told me it must at least be 6 inches from the ground. So I should be good. Hopefully...
