Definition of a coilover?
So by better do you mean that they might hold up to the stress of a spring kit? The websites all feed me a bunch of bull about how they are the best made for the lancer (only makes it the best) but says nothing about lowering.
the KYB's offered are like 10% stronger then stock. Thats the # I have seen thrown around. Basically, If you have a lancer and you want some performance out of your suspension. You have to get coilovers. Its not like we drive a civic and there are tons of struts and springs to match up to get the handling you like. I went with Ksports. There is Megans, Teins, JIC's. Many choices in different price ranges. I wouldnt mess with sleeves or just springs on my car personally.
Well I've always been kinda partial to Tein, but this kid at my work drives an integra and he put skunk2 coilovers on it and he said he had all kinds of problems with adjustment and alignment and whatnot. Now with you having coilovers on your vehicle, do you have any problems with them?
I do not have any issues with my Ksports other the the front springs binding which is no big deal except it makes a thud noise when turning slowly.. But, Ksport sent me out the parts to fix that free of charge, no questions asked. Other then that. very happy with them.
